Davison Inventions

Davison Inventions (www.InventionConcept.com) is a company that claims to take people’s ideas of new inventions, and turn them into reality. Davison says that it will take your idea through all the steps necessary to get your invention onto the market, from research and development to licensing to getting it onto the shelves.

Davison’s website claims that you have the ability to submit your idea to them knowing that you have full confidentiality and protection.  Once your idea is submitted, you will receive a one on one consultation about the viability of your idea, and whether or not you should begin the process to take your idea further.

Davison claims to have a variety of agreements available for potential clients.  Some services they offer will require you to pay one time, up front fees, while others will require you to commit to an agreement where Davison receives a percentage of royalties from your invention.

From Dream to Reality

“Build a better mousetrap, and the world will beat a path to your door.” From the time that man created fire, there has been an innate desire to come up with better ways of doing things. If you take a minute to look around you, at the things we take for granted every day, you’ll see the evidence of people’s invention dreams that came to life.

But, unlike the picture painted in Hollywood films, most of these inventions weren’t created in someone’s basement and then magically appeared on the market. Inventions must go through an intense process of research and development – is it truly an original invention? Is there someone else out there with a comparable idea or existing product? Is this invention already in the works?

At times an idea must be patented, which can be an expensive and complicated process. After that, an invention must often be licensed to another company or corporation to produce and distribute, because individuals usually lack the money necessary to fund the actual supply of product needed for the market.

Davison Inventions claims to help you through this long, arduous process, and to get your invention on the shelves of major retailers like Target, WalMart, Home Depot, and others.

Davison Inventions Success Stories?

Well, the truth is that when you research Davison Inventions, you are going to hear much more about heartbreak and failure than you will about success stories.  In fact, Davison was ordered to pay $26 million in restitution to former clients after they were sued by the Federal Trade Commission and lost.

The lawsuit determined that clients of Davison would often pay upwards of $10,000 toward costs and services, and that less than 1% of their clients ever saw a return higher than what they invested with Davison.

In addition, they were told to stop promoting themselves as being linked to major retailers. However, if you look at their current website it seems fairly obvious that they are walking a fine line in adhering to this court order.

Their landing page is covered in logos from major retailers, with information offering that inventions processed through Davison are sold at all of these stores. While there is no official statement saying they have a relationship with these companies, the implication is still there.

Finally, the lawsuit ordered that Davison refrain from acting as though their services are selective, since they were found to take anyone’s idea through the research and development process as long as they paid the fees. This is a bad sign for those looking to process an invention, because it means that you can’t trust Davison’s evaluation of your invention’s potential.  If they are simply willing to take everyone’s money who comes to them, it’s easy to see how 99+% of their customers never saw a profit from their dealings with Davison.

  • How about this, Davison took my idea and sold to a company without my permission. When my brother saw my invention in Walmart he immediately got in contact with me and told me about it. When I confronted Michael Myers and research and development I was told no one can get an invention on the shelves that quick. Then proceeded to ask me for more money to proceed with my invention. Now I’m being told if I don’t pay $596 that Davison will sell my idea to companies. Nope don’t care, this company already stole my idea and invention and sold it to multiple companies and I didn’t get compensated for it and now wants me to pay them money to invent something they stole from me. In reality, Davison sold the invention without all my specs and now the invention is malfunctioning and they’re trying to get those specs from me so they can save their ass.

I am contacting the FTC, FBI and BBB for fraud and deception practices! Davison Design was recently successfully sued for $10,000,000 via a class action lawsuits! I would pass on Davison Design if I were you!
  • I have been working with Davison for several months, I am not made of money, Matt is who I am working with he has asked only of me what the contract states. My family is concerned that they are scammers but I’m not convinced they are when they let me make payments to them how does a corporation stay in business for over 32 years without having some disgruntled clients? I had a corporation for 16 years and in that 16 years I myself had some, and sued also not to the magnitude of their lawsuit but still sued. I read they receive ten’s of thousands of ideas a year or month and only take 150 per year on the average. I am not saying that my idea is going to be the next Ring doorbell but I feel confident that they sent me a true preliminary copy of my idea and what they feel is their idea of what I wanted and I made changes I felt needed to be changed they had no problems. I am going to stay with them for I am not an engineer nor an artist to even begin to design what my idea is but I have faith in myself for the idea and faith in the company to let them handle it, as far is the paten I will do my own and file it myself then I will allow them to hold up their end of the bargain if not I would never just complain about being done wrong I will do the next right thing and file suit, until then, I will do what is necessary to get my idea on the shelves. If I have offended anyone I apologize.
    • Hello, I recently submitted 2 ideas and they have been really positive about the ideas with me and thorough when explaining the process. I did send money that they said was needed to proceed with my ideas. My daughter said I could submit an idea for free However I took a chance with Davison because they seemed sincere about my ideas and gave me confidence to believe in myself and seemed so enthusiastic that I had a very good chance of having an idea that would work. I haven’t heard a word back this week yet and hope I don’t lose the money I sent and I can’t think that I might of been taken. So for now I am hopeful they were sincere and honest with me. I have a mother who is dying and I couldn’t handle at this time if it was a scam and consume my days with worry! Let me know if you find anything out that might raise suspicion. I contact my bank as I just sent 2 pretty large pmts for both inventions if I don’t hear from them soon. I have to admit after reading these emails you really can’t ignore a red flag. Not only that , I got in touch with this company from a Senior Site that asked if you had any ideas to submit here. And I’m a senior who is just a caregiver to my 101 yr old mom. This could be devastating to me if these reviews are real! 😔How embarrassing that I fell for it other then doing research on this company first. I still will keep my fingers crossed! Thank you., Annette
    • This company is a scam they send you folders acting like there doing something then they ask for more money and try to convince you that your almost there go somewhere else they will not help you at all they are just taking your money
  • I just submitted my idea this morning, thank God I read all the reviews, but is a little too late my idea is already been submitted, darn it!
  • DO NOT contact this company. They followed up 9 months later and forced me to block the number the employee Donald Alexander contacted me from due to harassment. After contacting his manager and his CEO and its conduct concerns I received no reply. The conduct and culture is not only unacceptable but scary.
  • I've started with them. We're at the stage where I must pay for the safety of the invention. Is there any trustworthy company I can work with that offers the same services? I'm in South Africa and 5,000 dollars is about 80,000 rand.
  • Davidson should stop the BS. Whatever you do don't listen to the rep named Vasyl. He is a compulsive liar, glad I didn't give out any money. Anyone that has given money to Davidson should file law suit for all damages. This is fraud & should be addressed as just that.
    • I made the mistake in paying them & have nothing to show for it. The DA is stating that they don’t have to agree with the mediation & court will only help you up to 12k. They are a total scam.
  • DO NOT deal with Davisons. They are scammers, and yes I fell for it to.

My story is similar to most of these reviews. I had what I thought to be a great marketable idea and once I started dealing with Jason Zerbach I was also sold the dream. They said they loved the idea and had all the contacts to be able to develop and hopefully sell it to the existing data base of companies they deal with.

Once they got my deposit and first payment circa US$ 10K, They wouldn't reply to any difficult emails. They told me the virtual prototype was being designed and when I asked to see the designs Jason wouldn't reply to my e-mails. He would only call as to not put anything in writing to implicate himself.

He also had the cheek to ask me for more money and said Mr Davison ( obviously the master mind behind it all and who has already lost a law case by the looks. ) would give me a Christmas discount out of the kindness of his heart.

They use your money and don't develop your idea once they have you in their net. At first it all sounds legit and they give you patent searches etc to make you trust them. Then once they have you $$ it all stops and the lying really kicks up another gear.

I would LOVE to sue Davisons and am very keen to take these guys down. We have to stop it happening to others. I'm based in New Zealand so its hard for me to do anything from here and i don't understand the American legal system/process.

Is anyone interested in taking a law suit against them. We have so many people saying the same thing. They need to be stopped.

    my e-mail is :[email protected]
    • They took my money also and I can’t even get a call back from them and my yearly patent is almost up in two months. Im so mad at Davison I'm trying to sue them.
    • Yes I sent around 10k to them .they said they tried to get on market but wasn't getting a response. I paid for the patent my self. So I do have the patent for my idea. It was fully developed. But they said they need 10k more to get it on Amazon. I'm on disability and can't afford it now. I asked frank to send me the prototype he said he would...that's been 6 months ago and I still don't have it.
    • I am working with them now…
  • Al Mollet,

They are scammers. They avoid giving you any dates when they will provide the sample or any deliverables. We were convinced to pay everything up front to expedite the process. Then they provided a couple of useless sketches that looked like they photoshopped my photos and images into a drawing. After that, Gary disappeared, along with my $12,000.00! Don’t do it!
    • I made the mistake in paying them & have nothing to show for it. The DA is stating that they don’t have to agree with the mediation & court will only help you up to 12k. They are a total scam. Everyone on here should send a complaint to the PA DA with receipts & Also to the FTC. The FTC will not pursue for 1 person but if there are a lot of us they can start another class action suit.
  • WOW!!... I just submitted a very good idea and have been offered heavy discounts. I have a pretty good idea what it takes to do this and it seems like their services are pretty comprehensive but something told me not to commit yet I have given them no money looks like I made the right choice listening to my gut. I didn't get the impression until I started reading the agreement and the first "Gut" feeling you get is correct.

    Thank you all
