Davison Inventions

Davison Inventions (www.InventionConcept.com) is a company that claims to take people’s ideas of new inventions, and turn them into reality. Davison says that it will take your idea through all the steps necessary to get your invention onto the market, from research and development to licensing to getting it onto the shelves.

Davison’s website claims that you have the ability to submit your idea to them knowing that you have full confidentiality and protection.  Once your idea is submitted, you will receive a one on one consultation about the viability of your idea, and whether or not you should begin the process to take your idea further.

Davison claims to have a variety of agreements available for potential clients.  Some services they offer will require you to pay one time, up front fees, while others will require you to commit to an agreement where Davison receives a percentage of royalties from your invention.

From Dream to Reality

“Build a better mousetrap, and the world will beat a path to your door.” From the time that man created fire, there has been an innate desire to come up with better ways of doing things. If you take a minute to look around you, at the things we take for granted every day, you’ll see the evidence of people’s invention dreams that came to life.

But, unlike the picture painted in Hollywood films, most of these inventions weren’t created in someone’s basement and then magically appeared on the market. Inventions must go through an intense process of research and development – is it truly an original invention? Is there someone else out there with a comparable idea or existing product? Is this invention already in the works?

At times an idea must be patented, which can be an expensive and complicated process. After that, an invention must often be licensed to another company or corporation to produce and distribute, because individuals usually lack the money necessary to fund the actual supply of product needed for the market.

Davison Inventions claims to help you through this long, arduous process, and to get your invention on the shelves of major retailers like Target, WalMart, Home Depot, and others.

Davison Inventions Success Stories?

Well, the truth is that when you research Davison Inventions, you are going to hear much more about heartbreak and failure than you will about success stories.  In fact, Davison was ordered to pay $26 million in restitution to former clients after they were sued by the Federal Trade Commission and lost.

The lawsuit determined that clients of Davison would often pay upwards of $10,000 toward costs and services, and that less than 1% of their clients ever saw a return higher than what they invested with Davison.

In addition, they were told to stop promoting themselves as being linked to major retailers. However, if you look at their current website it seems fairly obvious that they are walking a fine line in adhering to this court order.

Their landing page is covered in logos from major retailers, with information offering that inventions processed through Davison are sold at all of these stores. While there is no official statement saying they have a relationship with these companies, the implication is still there.

Finally, the lawsuit ordered that Davison refrain from acting as though their services are selective, since they were found to take anyone’s idea through the research and development process as long as they paid the fees. This is a bad sign for those looking to process an invention, because it means that you can’t trust Davison’s evaluation of your invention’s potential.  If they are simply willing to take everyone’s money who comes to them, it’s easy to see how 99+% of their customers never saw a profit from their dealings with Davison.

  • Hi Michael Fluhler, my name is Debra Brisbon.i was used, lied to, scam out of thousands of dollars. Had a product sample made. Everything i did to my idea was sold on stores. I watch what I worked so hard for only to see it in stores. My heart was so broken! I was very disappointed and depressed!

All my time, money, my idea, I know was stolen from me! I was talked out of a Utility Patent by Daniel karetski, I contacted a patent lawyer about doing a Utility Patent. Daniel karetski persuaded me not to get one. He works for George Davison's invention company. He told me that I can get a provisional patent that will cover me for a year. That I didn't need know Utility Patent. Daniel karetski knew that the provisional patent wouldn't totally cover me.

I was told that my product sample was in the hands of crooked horn Outfitters. I was told crooked horn Outfitters was talking to a retail customers and looking on storage shelves to see where to put my product. I was told that lie for almost a whole year. When I started to question them about that! They assigned me to someone different in the licensing Department. Well, that person lied to me as well! Took more money from me after I paid for my product sample. Came to me about the company doing a infomercial that I was paying for too.! I'd love to explain all my experiences with this invention company on how they took my money and scammed me! But it's too much to put here. I Would email you.

    • Hi Debra!

I am one of the victims! I actually made a complaint before the PA attorney general, in the letter, they admitted that there is no existing technology to create my idea, but I asked them before if they can do it, Patty and Luke said many times that they can do it, only when I received the wireframe that they "need to work around" the idea so it could be done, but my idea is straightforward and my question is a straightforward if they could do it or not? They certainly cannot! They deceived me to believing that they can do so I could send the money!! they have no shame at all! I am actually looking for victims like me who are planning to file a class action lawsuit against them. Please contact me to my email, [email protected] I am actually from the UK.
  • To anyone who is thinking of putting your money in to Davison, don't, it's all one big scam. I lost $13k of my pension funds with these con men. They actually told me that they do not do any development that costs money, Gary Dafor told me so. So what do you get for your money. I got a picture of someone else's kettle off Amazon. None of my designs included. These people are absolutely scammers, con men. Don't do it! Put your money with them and you will probably get a picture a four year old could do! The only thing that is certain is that you will lose your money! The American government know this, have always know and do nothing! I tried and got ignored.

    • Hi my name is Debra, I was also scammed by Davison company. Just the other day I see what i invented on Walmart store shelves! I have a provisional patent that is not up until May of this year. But to find out they made me think that provisional patent cover and protect my product samples.

They lied to me. They told me a company by the name of crooked horn Outfitters, had my product sample in their hands. They told me that they was talking to customers and discussing retail prices. They also told me that they was looking at a spot in the store to put my product on the shelves. They kept this lie up for a whole year. They kept telling me the same thing about crookhorn outfitter for a whole year. Until I got suspicious about it. Once I started asking questions about it, And i knew they were lying to me, then she told me crooked horn Outfitters was interested in my product at this time.

Than they gave me someone else in the license department to communicate with. After that person told me a lies for so long then they switch me up to someone else. Well that person in the license department, find a way of get more money out of me after I had already paid for my products samples to be made.

I found out on yesterday Rebekah from The license department, told me I had to pay all 40 companies individual $3,000 for them to show my inventormercail to them. I was told in the beginning after my products samples was made that my product sample will be presented to all of these 40 companies.

Money was never discussed about paying for these companies to see my product sample. 2 days ago I see what I invented on Walmart shelves. They deceived me, lied to me, prolonged me and scammed me! They kept stringing me alone long enough so my products can be on store shelves by someone else.

Everything that I did to my product sample is what's in stores now! My invention idea was a new discovery! They Either sold it to someone or they did it themselves. Every inventor that George Davidson has scammed out of money and did wrong we all need to come together to get on a talk show and let the whole world know about these invention companies!

We need to put a stop to them! I worked three jobs, sacrifice things I love doing for myself and in my place! I sacrificed all my bills. Gave myself bad credit just to pursue the dreams and my invention idea to have them scam me. They ruined my life. Took everything from me! And left me empty! Like I said we all need to come together get on a talk show let the world know ,tell all our stories so no one else can ever be scammed by invention companies again!
    • Hi there Larry

I would be willing to go in on with you with a class action law sue.

If you get this please email me back
  • I went to Davidson today and I was presented with a form to ask for my free "invention kit". The first part of the form included statements saying they don't ever use others' ideas or steal info, etc. They ask you to initial that like you can back up what they are saying? lol The next are forms asking for your personal info, name of product idea, description. --> Inherently untrusting by nature, I filled these out w/out stating my idea, I just wrote other things in those areas. The next pages are all warnings and one actually says this -->"The total number of consumers in the last five years who made more money in royalties or sales proceeds than they paid to Davison, in total, under any and all agreements with Davison, is fifteen (15). This number includes people who first made a profit more than 5 years ago." <-- (Cut and pasted.) They go on to say how many THOUSANDS paid them fees, high fees. I copied and pasted that info for my own records, got out and typed their name in search. HUGE warning flag for sure. But had I given them the name of my idea and a description, instead of writing a bunch of gobblygook in the box, they would have it now even though I didn't finish signing up. They probably get all kinds of information that way. I think there is some recourse for the ppl that they've scammed, especially with lawyers begging for business right now. I was asked twice in the past week online had I been molested by the boy scouts...surely some lawyer would rather do this. With the prior warnings from the Federal Trade Commission, I project a win for any well fought out case. Good luck to you all! I hope you kick their A**!! :-)
