Davison Inventions (www.InventionConcept.com) is a company that claims to take people’s ideas of new inventions, and turn them into reality. Davison says that it will take your idea through all the steps necessary to get your invention onto the market, from research and development to licensing to getting it onto the shelves.
Davison’s website claims that you have the ability to submit your idea to them knowing that you have full confidentiality and protection. Once your idea is submitted, you will receive a one on one consultation about the viability of your idea, and whether or not you should begin the process to take your idea further.
Davison claims to have a variety of agreements available for potential clients. Some services they offer will require you to pay one time, up front fees, while others will require you to commit to an agreement where Davison receives a percentage of royalties from your invention.
From Dream to Reality
“Build a better mousetrap, and the world will beat a path to your door.” From the time that man created fire, there has been an innate desire to come up with better ways of doing things. If you take a minute to look around you, at the things we take for granted every day, you’ll see the evidence of people’s invention dreams that came to life.
But, unlike the picture painted in Hollywood films, most of these inventions weren’t created in someone’s basement and then magically appeared on the market. Inventions must go through an intense process of research and development – is it truly an original invention? Is there someone else out there with a comparable idea or existing product? Is this invention already in the works?
At times an idea must be patented, which can be an expensive and complicated process. After that, an invention must often be licensed to another company or corporation to produce and distribute, because individuals usually lack the money necessary to fund the actual supply of product needed for the market.
Davison Inventions claims to help you through this long, arduous process, and to get your invention on the shelves of major retailers like Target, WalMart, Home Depot, and others.
Davison Inventions Success Stories?
Well, the truth is that when you research Davison Inventions, you are going to hear much more about heartbreak and failure than you will about success stories. In fact, Davison was ordered to pay $26 million in restitution to former clients after they were sued by the Federal Trade Commission and lost.
The lawsuit determined that clients of Davison would often pay upwards of $10,000 toward costs and services, and that less than 1% of their clients ever saw a return higher than what they invested with Davison.
In addition, they were told to stop promoting themselves as being linked to major retailers. However, if you look at their current website it seems fairly obvious that they are walking a fine line in adhering to this court order.
Their landing page is covered in logos from major retailers, with information offering that inventions processed through Davison are sold at all of these stores. While there is no official statement saying they have a relationship with these companies, the implication is still there.
Finally, the lawsuit ordered that Davison refrain from acting as though their services are selective, since they were found to take anyone’s idea through the research and development process as long as they paid the fees. This is a bad sign for those looking to process an invention, because it means that you can’t trust Davison’s evaluation of your invention’s potential. If they are simply willing to take everyone’s money who comes to them, it’s easy to see how 99+% of their customers never saw a profit from their dealings with Davison.
Thank you!
You see I work as a maintenance tech. for a 24/7 operating production company where my time for phone calls is limited. I had spoke with Alvin only once before when he had told me my idea was a great one and so forth. We had set up a time to speak more the following day that had became so busy that I could not talk till I got off work at 5pm the same as Alvin and was gone for the day unable to receive my call. We phone tagged sort of speaking on each others voice mail and by the third day from the first call, he left me a rude message saying that "if we can't seem to keep an appointment ah your not the type of client we want to work with anyway good luck with your project hope you become a millionaire by tomorrow goodbye sir".
And the second strike was after calling him to apologize for being unable to take his call and move forward and explaining in more detail of my idea he then told me after i reviled my world changing masterpiece about the upfront fee of just under $300 and then started sending me all these contract to sign along with another fee of $60 for the provision patent search.I'm so glad I haven't signed them or sent any money to the crooks. That's my story with DAVISON and will be telling ALVIN that I will no longer be doing any business with DAVISON due to the false and misleading information they are presenting to their customers for their own financial gain. THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE ! and a word out others that are turning to DAVISON for help with their ideas. DON"T LET THEM PREY ON YOU or give them a chance to sink their teeth into you. Much love to every and be great to one another.
"BE GREAT TO ONE ANOTHER" Very well said!
Just think, 270,000 people paid them from $600 to 30,000 for their ideas to become a “product”. ONLY 27 ideas went to production and managed to get a little money back. 270,000 lives they have destroyed 270,000 dreams shattered
Davison claim that they have 2,000 products in the market. Where they got these product? They got people like me and you tell them our ideas and then pay for them to get it designed, and went off and sold them as their own.
WHERE IS THE GOVERNMET!? WHERE IS THE LAW!? WHERE IS THE MEDIA!? To STOP these evil crimes!!!???
After I submitted my idea to Davison through the online option, they called me back. I was so surprised to see how much of a professional company they are. People who has contacted Davison you must know how nice they are, but for those who don’t know I will describe how good they are:
For my idea they asked me to pay $14300 and I paid them after 6 months. They came back to me with one picture, it was ok, not how I wanted but ok. I asked them where is the product drawings and CAD (Computer Aided Drawing) and STL (Computer Software Developed) . Leo said we only send them to you when we finish all the process.
After 4 months went by, Leo came back to me and said the company we have targeted is not interested in my product. Ok, I asked them can you send me any pictures of the prototype you have made, he said we can send the prototype by post and I agreed as long as he will send it by recorded delivery and Leo accepted to do that (of course this was agreed over the phone as they do NOT accept any other way of communication). After 2 weeks I still haven’t received my prototype. I phoned Leo to ask where my prototype is and he said ‘I don’t know we have sent it but it might have got lost in the post’, well!!!!!!!!!!! Red light come started flashing.
I was soooo upset. I told him you are responsible for that he said straightaway ‘no we are not and if look on the contract (Section 3, sub-section L)it states that “Davison is not responsible for damage, loss, wear or abuse of the product sample after it leaves Davison’s possession”. It sounded to me that he had planned to say this from the beginning.
I continued to get in contact with Davison in order to get some kind of answer. No reply to my telephone messages or to my emails. I filed a complaint to the Chief Consumer Advocate (CCA [email protected]), they came back to me with an email stating that they will review my situation and get back to me within 5-7 days. It has been over a month now and now reply. I phoned Davison reception, spoke to one of the girls and she said that they do not have a Customer Complaint Department after arguing with her for a while, she put me on hold for over 30 minutes with no explanation to why she put me on hold. After getting fed up of waiting, I hung up and phoned again, the other girl picked up and told me that there is a Customer Complaint department, but did not pass me on to them, instead she told me that I could speak to her for hours, but she would not be able to do anything about it. Still to this day after 7 months, I have no answer.
I have re-read the contract a hundreds of times and every time you can see that they only made the contract to cover every aspect of their scams and looking at all the reviews and what happened with me, I now know that they are NOT an invention company but they are A PROFFESIONAL SCAM COMPANY. My advice to all of you that have not yet invest
You can contact me via email [email protected] i can answer any question about my experience with daviosn and about the contract

Found this on their page before i decided to pay anything.....Thank god i cannot afford to lose any money. If you already lost money threat to dispute the charge with your bank, im not sure of their policy but I used to work customer service for credit card processing and you'll be told no refunds until you threat to dispute. It's worth a try.

After I contacted Davison they told me that my idea would cost $8,000 and will take the engineers 3 months to work on bringing my product to life. It is a bit strange how Davison can afford to pay the engineer from $8,000 for 3 months, I am very sure that they will charge them more. I now understand that they will cannot afford engineers as ONLY 27 customers manufactured their product, out of almost HALF a million contacts that Davison made. Now it is clear that they do not work 3 months, but not even 3 days on your idea, all they do is spend 3 minutes to copyright a product and sell it to you. Leaving you scammed out of money.
THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH ALL OF YOU SAVING ME $8000
Thanks you Jessica for this information and all of you who posted on here.
If anyone agrees with me please comment below.
i submitted an idea to Davison and they phoned me 100s of times and they said what a great idea, its a very very good idea. They send me lots of videos, lots of magazines to wheel me in and after that they asked me to pay $750 for patent searched. I paid that. They said my idea is unique. To make the idea how i want, in the same way i wanted it they told me to it will cost $9300 and in order to start the design I needed to pay to start $7000 so i paid $7000. After 2 months i received one picture with a product which already exists in the market and nothing, absolutely nothing did this design had to do with my idea. i told them NO, this is not what i paid for and they said 'we did this because its very cheap to make'. I did not agree, they say that on the contract it states that we will choose the cheapest way to make the product, this is their argument. I cannot believe it and they said if you pant to make a prototype you have to pay another $2,300 and we will present it to a company. I said no because no one will manufacture this as the product that they claim to have designed already exists. I contacted the company who makes the original product that Davison claim to have designed but which they have stole and they say that it is copyrighting of our product and which has a patent. This whole process cost Davison only $23 to buy and sell to me for which I've paid $7750 for. What a mistake i cannot believe it! People who read this please don't, DO NOT pay any money to them because what i experienced and what they have put me through makes me want to kill myself. The money, i borrowed it from bank, so i have to pay $10,000 back to them and ended up with no product, no money, no hope. Thank you Davison for ruining my life. I'm crying and writing right now.
Whoever wants to contact me for more information please do not hesitate to contact me.you will not believe what they said before taking your money and after they take your money they completely change their attitude.

i was hoping for the idea and when they send to me one picture and they said this is the design
what a surprise even this picture had nothing to do with my idea and i told them this is not my idea and they told me on the contract agreement we have to do in the cheapest way and we did but there its not drawing no nothing just one picture what can i do i lost $5500 and they want other $3000 to make a prototype but i told them no that's has nothing to do with my idea and i don't want to invest more and they told me no refund and i end up with nothing
