Davison Inventions (www.InventionConcept.com) is a company that claims to take people’s ideas of new inventions, and turn them into reality. Davison says that it will take your idea through all the steps necessary to get your invention onto the market, from research and development to licensing to getting it onto the shelves.
Davison’s website claims that you have the ability to submit your idea to them knowing that you have full confidentiality and protection. Once your idea is submitted, you will receive a one on one consultation about the viability of your idea, and whether or not you should begin the process to take your idea further.
Davison claims to have a variety of agreements available for potential clients. Some services they offer will require you to pay one time, up front fees, while others will require you to commit to an agreement where Davison receives a percentage of royalties from your invention.
From Dream to Reality
“Build a better mousetrap, and the world will beat a path to your door.” From the time that man created fire, there has been an innate desire to come up with better ways of doing things. If you take a minute to look around you, at the things we take for granted every day, you’ll see the evidence of people’s invention dreams that came to life.
But, unlike the picture painted in Hollywood films, most of these inventions weren’t created in someone’s basement and then magically appeared on the market. Inventions must go through an intense process of research and development – is it truly an original invention? Is there someone else out there with a comparable idea or existing product? Is this invention already in the works?
At times an idea must be patented, which can be an expensive and complicated process. After that, an invention must often be licensed to another company or corporation to produce and distribute, because individuals usually lack the money necessary to fund the actual supply of product needed for the market.
Davison Inventions claims to help you through this long, arduous process, and to get your invention on the shelves of major retailers like Target, WalMart, Home Depot, and others.
Davison Inventions Success Stories?
Well, the truth is that when you research Davison Inventions, you are going to hear much more about heartbreak and failure than you will about success stories. In fact, Davison was ordered to pay $26 million in restitution to former clients after they were sued by the Federal Trade Commission and lost.
The lawsuit determined that clients of Davison would often pay upwards of $10,000 toward costs and services, and that less than 1% of their clients ever saw a return higher than what they invested with Davison.
In addition, they were told to stop promoting themselves as being linked to major retailers. However, if you look at their current website it seems fairly obvious that they are walking a fine line in adhering to this court order.
Their landing page is covered in logos from major retailers, with information offering that inventions processed through Davison are sold at all of these stores. While there is no official statement saying they have a relationship with these companies, the implication is still there.
Finally, the lawsuit ordered that Davison refrain from acting as though their services are selective, since they were found to take anyone’s idea through the research and development process as long as they paid the fees. This is a bad sign for those looking to process an invention, because it means that you can’t trust Davison’s evaluation of your invention’s potential. If they are simply willing to take everyone’s money who comes to them, it’s easy to see how 99+% of their customers never saw a profit from their dealings with Davison.
Davison failed to produce my product according to my original design, fooled me into signing the go ahead paper work because they had someone that wanted to look at it right now. Being gullible and greedy, i went along with it. They hit my visa card for an extra 8 grand then conned me with the thought that if i believed in my product, that although davison had made a mistake on the charge, the truth of the matter is, that they needed the money to make things happen for me. They lost my material, stole my materials, did not make the product that i designed, lied to me, losts my materials again, charged me many times to repackage my product to move to new companies and would never show me just what my product looked like so i could help them.
Finally i had to shut it down and when i received my material and witnessed just what they had built for me, i was totally shocked because the damn thing would never work in a million years. I built my own unit for showing, told them after reviewing a phony book that they sent me of my product that had nothing in it but downloaded crap from the internet with nothing in it about my invention which showed total fraud on their part. I complained to the then vice president name of frank viesco who checked thru my files and found out that yes indeed, i had them by the short hairs and he then agreed to give me what i needed, meaning complete and open communications, total openness and honesty and agreed to show my product to three companies at no additional charges.
Boy howdy was i ever fooled once again, these people are total professional con experts. They deal with your needs and know that they have us where they want us to be. I was a total fool in believing them and now its time for all us little people to gather together in a common effort and put it to them. I am going to send out emails to those that have left theirs in an effort to try and get together. I left word to a gentleman name of roman, he seems to have already attempted to organize the effort lets try and get something started right away...Email me as your time permits...Ron craig [email protected] Thank you....Ron
I want to do a story on Davison in canada for the CBC. can you get in touch? 204-788-3210 or [email protected].. curious about what happened to you..
Ohhhh... And Carol.....I had the same exact thing happen to me only with different names. This is not coincidence! This company is awful!
I too have been scammed of my hard earned money. I like you Ron have cut all ties with my contract and in going any further with this company. I have sent up two conference calls with Mr. Vesico, whom has canceled one and blown off the other. I have wasted more time and more money with this company, let alone alot of heartache.
Lastnight I worked the overnight at my hospital and received a computer generated emal immediately after midnight from one only "Leo Petrulli" will include this email below:
Hello Carol,
I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. I've been assigned the important responsibility of assisting you. The individual you were communicating with previously is no longer with the company, but rest assured, I have your entire file and will be personally guiding your idea through the Davison Inventing Method
Carol, I'd like to speak with you to formally introduce myself and so we can stay on track with the idea.
Call or email me at your earliest convenience with a preferred telephone number of where I can reach you.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Creatively Yours,
Leo Petrulli

Well Mr. Petrulli did not do his homework, he is one of the two people I am filing my complaint against. He has NOT listened to a thing I have said, he speaks over me and is down right rude. Stating "Why do you want a piece of the pie, when you can have the whole pie"? (If I hear that again I swear I will be sick) The problem their pie, has nothing to do with my pie (so to speak). They have sent me 2 computerized drawings that my middle school son could have done on photoshop, NO EXCUSE ME my son could have done a better job! They have taken my idea and turned it all around,it is NOTHING like what I wanted. Any supposed "major corporation" whould laugh at this. I am so angry all I want is my money back, I too have shut down ties with this company. I will not sign another damn thing. I am over 10,000.00 in the hole.
Please feel free to contact me, my husband and I have an appointment with a attorney today.
Content:Hello Kicker, Did you know that every single thing that has been invented and created throughout human history began with one thought? From that one thought, an idea was made and transformed from a concept to a tangible item. Your idea needs you right now. I can remember when I was working on my first idea. I truly had no clue as to how I was going to develop it, but I had faith and envisioned a future where my ideas would become real and help people. Little did I know that I would eventually invent the world's first economical way to invent and develop not only my own inventions, but the ideas of other people and major corporations, as well. It all started with a little faith and belief. If you can see the outcome of your idea in your mind, our team is ready and enthusiastically willing to help you. If you can't see your idea becoming real--if it doesn't keep popping into your head from time to time--then this probably isn't something that is right for you. I've learned that some of my ideas, like the ones in the stores today, and the idea for my creative work environment, Inventionland, kept calling out to me. I simply trusted my instincts and believed in my ideas. Please call Ryan OConnor at 1.866.328.4766 EXT :50039 and let us know if you still believe in Boot Lock. Creatively Yours, G Davison Founder DAVISON | RIDC Park . 595 Alpha Drive | Pittsburgh, PA 15238 866-Davison ext. 50039 | Fax: 412-967-0794 International: 412-967-0124 (I have adjusted the spacing but otherwise this is the email in its entirety.)
My reply: I would like to take the opportunity to correct the subject title of this email. I am not at all saying NO to getting my product seen by corporations, I am saying no to paying upfront fees. Maybe I am spoiled by the entertainment business but as the person with the idea to begin with, and with the potential of getting this product created, and also expressing UPFRONT that I have no capital to invest other than my time (perspiration) and mind, then there was nothing left to discuss. I am extremely interested in seeing my product(s) on store shelves and I am also extremely interested in the potential that this product can have if marketed to the right industry. However, I am not a corporation at this time. I don't have the financial means to back my own invention(s) and therefore came to you and your company for that thing you are selling to the American people...the American Dream. The other product could not have been properly invented without some of today's technologies and therefore if presented in the right markets would positively create a product for a new kind of customer. I would love to have a team that would help in the success of these products and even more so love to do so without comments like yours that are blatantly wrong. In addition I have read some pretty daunting reviews about your company and while I can greatly appreciate the seemingly few who pass through your process with success, there seem to be far more with false promises, empty pockets, and shaken awaken dreams. I hope that your integrity supersedes your greed and that this devil called Money is not the only thing in which you can claim your happiness. Kindest Regards,' Kicker
If there is a legitimate company out there and that company offers inventors a chance to get their products and ideas from the drawing board, to the store, and everything in between then I would encourage you to contact some of the people scorned and scarred by these "Industry Professionals" that continue to steal from good hardworking individuals who just may have succeeded in "building a better mousetrap".

In the contract it states that you can not be involved in a class action suit. However if enough people jump on the band wagon and contact F.T.C. this company hopefully could be put out of business. I will not sign approval for my product idea because it is NOTHING like what my invention is about. I was told yesterday by Barbara Browning @ Davison that unless I approve their product my file will be placed on hold. I hired them to work with me and help me produce my product. The company is nothing but a huge scam ripping off people of their hard earned cash.
Good luck you will need it!
PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Do your research and look online at the federal trade commisions reports on Davison. Do not make the same mistake as we did. It is costly one!
