3 Ways to Earn Income at Home
Without Being Scammed…

These days many people are interested in learning about different ways to earn income at home. Searching online is a great place to start but you really need to know what you’re looking for. It is estimated that for every 1 legitimate online opportunity there are roughly 60 scams. This begs the question… is earning income at home a scam in general?

The best thing that you can do to protect yourself and ensure that your search for income at home is productive is to get specific. Do not simply go to Google and type in generic terms like make money online, you want to learn about specific opportunities that you may be interested and then research the leading websites in that field.

For instance if you searched “income at home” you may find a website like income-at-home.com, a site that may look legit but is really nothing more than a collection of classifieds for costly work at home offers. By focusing on specific types of work you’re interested in you’ll greatly limit your contact with potentially fraudulent offers.

Below is a list of 3 different opportunities for earning income at home along with lists of websites that you can use to get started today.

Get an Online Job…

If you want to earn income at home then the first and most obvious solution is to get a job. Unfortunately many of the aforementioned scams specifically target people searching for work at home. To avoid falling for any kind of schemes the best thing you can do is go to the source. Find forums or job boards that focus on the kind of work you want to do. For instance there are many legit jobs in the customer service industry.

You can get a job as a customer service representative and earn income at home by fielding customer’s questions and providing them with support.

Another growing trend is the use of crowd sourcing to get projects done. Companies may post a work order online and allow people from all over the world to contribute. Amazon’s Mechanical Turk program is a perfect example of this.

You can get paid for doing micro jobs that companies can’t complete through the use of computers or would incur too many costs through traditional labor options. Check out our full list of Legitimate Work From Home Jobs.

Write for a Living…

Writing is one of the easiest ways to get income at home; with the growth of blogging and content publishing as a business model there’s never been more demand for writers. Websites are always in need of new content and they’re glad to pay for it. The best way to find writing work is to become a member at one of the many freelance forums and bid on open projects.

Not only can you find short term work but if you do well and impress your employer a small gig can often turn into long term or even permanent employment.

The other route that you can take is to submit your content to websites that offer revenue share opportunities. They will provide you with the platform to host your content on and in return for your work they will split the ad revenue that your articles generate. • Well if go to work for big company its a MLM as well you work to the higher up more money. The radio show host say these advertising because the companies pay for it. Shawn and others do not scam people. Its people who get these things think they can sit down eat and watch tv and make money! Well it doesn't work that way you got to work at it. If I had a radio show to keep in business you have to find sponsers because they pay the bills... To end this debate you have to actually work to make money... Other blogs keep saying if it says it free its a scam. Well so IS OBAMACARE he says its free healthcare for most people well the true workers got to pay for it.
    • Sean makes a testimonial that even touts a $1,000 prize "this year" for just going to their site. For me that fits the definition of accomplice. Beck and Limbaugh do the same thing. If the host's voice is in the ad, the host is involved in the scam, ipso facto.
    • GREAT ANALAGY!
  • I think the radio personalities are bound by their contracts and have no saying in their advertising this crap. If they do, damn them all.
    • The company is similar to Multilevel Marketing (MLM) or also called Network Marketing. You will have to sell something and recruit people into the company. Usually the product is health supplements. If you are not a go-getter, have no sales ability it will be very difficult to make money in this type of industry
    • Hi, I just thought of joining this Incomeathome.com. I do not know anything about this. I was just going through all the reviews. Can anyone let me know the nature of job involved in this? Is this is a scam? My email id is [email protected]

Only after hearing from you I have to decide whether to proceed or not. Please help me guys as I do not know anything about this.

      Thanks

      Mahasuresh
    • What is the return address to return the information if anyone knows? I of course cell for this but is still within the trial period. I'm going to mail back the materials via Fedex, to be sure. Just hard to find their mailing address anywhere....

      Thanks!
    • You should always mistrust a company that makes you pay for Shipping and Handling before they tell you the facts. The fact are that you may think it cost you $39.95 to start your business but if you enroll the price is $ 399.00 plus. I am disappointed of the celebrity endorsing this business, Now I have to pay to ship back the kit or get charged $39.95 for NOTHING DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM.
  • Isn't it a shame that there are people out there who try to scam their fellow Americans. People who do this are disgusting. When someone told me to check out this program I went straight for the small print. That is where you can find at least some truth. There is no easy way to make money. Anyone who tells you different is lying to you.
    • Bob, the REALITY is that there will always be scammers. The shame is that there are folks that are dumb enough to be scammed. Dumb or greedy. I think that there should be severe punishment for scammers. Bernie Madoff was a scammer and his whole family's headed for prison. If they prosecuted these thieves like the criminals they are, there MIGHT be fewer of them. But probably not. There are severe penalties for selling crack, but it gets sold. A lot of it.
  • Dear anyone, i still say, that selling on classifieds and ebay

is the safest way to make money on the internet. take a look

at ebay's track record and you will see for yourself! its more

trust worthy than any get rich scam website thats out their.

you pay a little to sell on eBay but you are protected to the

hilt. sure it might be hard to find items to sell but sooner

or later you will find something! there are more sites similar

to eBay if you just look and some of them are protected as well.

so do your self a favor and stay away from these scam scum sites

that claim to make you $10.000 a week! these guys are dirt bags

that pray on the uninformed! thats my 2 cents worth! thank you!
  • I never dealt with this offer because my past research for years in internet businesses has educated me to the degree that I can feel a money scam coming on. An older post on this site told of all the additional fees which included monthly credit card fees, internet and undoubtedly site fees. the only people making money are the company execs. I have one site that offers legitimate work at home jobs. these are real jobs you need to know how to do like in the real world. No get rich quick ideas.

My wife thought it was legit. She heard it on a few radio shows from people she considered trustworthy. Truth is when it comes to you and your money trust no one, except me of course. Read this article on work at homes jobs at essentiality.net You need some facts before looking for another get rich idea.
  • Incomeathome.com claims in several advertisements to be "an A+ rated BBB accredited business." Look it up. I received a full refund for any/all funds I invested with the company due to false advertising.

They are NOT BBB accredited let alone rated.
  • Income at home, is a major fraud being perpetrated on the US Public the FTC and the District Attorney should investigate the marketing tactics of this company. I get 20 emails a month from a virus that sends out these rogue emails. Virtually every town in the US, has some Mom making $8,000 a month. If this is a lie, then it is a criminal act and the FTC and the DA of jurisdiction where this company is located should get out there and do their job. Also Radio Stations all over the USA should investigate before some poor Mom, who thinks that her next check will be $8,000 plus, eventually realizes that her hard earned money has gone into the pockets of these piranha fish. John Bradley Esq
    • John, I agree with you. Isn't interesting that we never get the full names of these '$8,000 a month mom's' and/or never able to look them up or get in contact with them. Between this and bidding sites, I don't know which is more dishonest!
