Home Office Careers, found online at HomeOfficeCareers.com, is a website that promises it can help people find the best possible jobs on the market for people who wish to telecommute.

Telecommuting is the industry term for people who are employed by a traditional business or corporation, but who work a specific type of job whose responsibilities can be completely conducted from a home office with the proper equipment.

Job seekers who are interested in seeing what kind of jobs this website will lead them to can use their Basic membership for free, to get an understanding of how their site works and what kinds of features they have, but the website directs serious job seekers to their Premium account, which is priced at $19.95 for one month and $99.95 for twelve months.

How Does Home Office Careers Work?

The website promises to give their members access to the largest pool of employers who are hoping to outsource company positions at this time, as well as sending members daily job posts that match your listed goals and abilities.

In addition the website promises that they have resources which can give people career and work advice that has been designed specifically for telecommuters and people who are making the move from traditional office worker to telecommuter.

The Concerns

Many of the types of jobs that are being promoted to people on their website, through their free Basic account, are generally at home call center types of jobs which can be found through the websites of the employers themselves; a paid membership wouldn’t be necessary.

In addition, and a bigger concern, is that the types of features they provide that customers may be willing to upgrade their membership for – the telecommuting resources as well as the resume assistance – is actually included in their free membership.

In fact, this website does not actually promise that their Premium membership offers job seekers exclusive access to the best quality opportunities or to further opportunities than are offered on their free membership at all. The one key feature that the Premium membership offers over the free membership is “the ability to apply to unlimited jobs.”

Whether or not that one feature is worth $19.95 per month to people who wish to upgrade to their Premium account is a personal decision, though there are many different websites which will provide this type of information to people for free.

  • I just signed up. I don't like job sites that want people to pay to access employment options...once I realized this was the deal I wanted to and still want to unsubscribe but I have not seen a link to do so which most sites, even spam sites offer. That to me is a suspicious thing and I am not paying to see if they are legit or not.
  • Where is the answer.....is it legit or fake?
  • I signed up with them taking 19.98 membership from my card and could never log on to my account. So I can't log on even to cancel them taking money from my account each month and customer service never call you back.
  • I think its a a scam, my PC stopped the site from loading after i signed up and flagged it as Malicious site
  • I am not clear after reading the reviews as to how legit the offer rates?
  • I signed up for premium membership and I found a job after 1 week. Site is not a scam for sure and when I contacted support with a question they responded within an hour. I would definitely recommend them.
  • I love the fact that you pointed out that the basic membership is pretty much the exact same as the premium. However, you never answered the question you posed: whether it was legit or a scam. That is what I would like to know.
