Home-Online-Jobs.org is a website run by Michelle Mathews, a self proclaimed number one work at home specialist, that offers a certification program to train you how to make money by posting links for companies.
Mathews makes many claims about her program and the job opportunity that it trains you to be a part of. For a one time fee of $49.95, Home Online Jobs claims that you can quickly be making up to $225 an hour, working from home, on your own schedule.
Mathews comes to this earning figure by saying that it takes 4 minutes to post a link, and since you earn an average of $15 per link, that turns out to be $225 an hour. She also claims that anyone can earn this money, regardless of experience or background.
So is Home Online Jobs a Scam?
Oh, where to begin? First of all, there is no such thing as being paid to post links. This is a scam that swept the internet in 2009, and here it is, rearing its ugly head again.
The truth of the link posting job is that it is a form of affiliate marketing. You post a link advertisement for another company, and when someone clicks on that link and purchases a product, you earn a commission from that sale. This means you get paid only when someone purchases a product, not when you post a link.
Second, while you may not need particular experience or background to post links, you do need money. Every time someone clicks on your link, you must pay a fee. This means that you might not only not make money, but there’s a good chance you could lose a good deal of money on this opportunity.
Finally, Michelle Mathews says that she is a well respected work at home expert, when the reality is that a basic internet search brings up exactly zero stories or mentions of her within this capacity. In addition, there have been reports from people who say that once they gave Mathews their $49.95, they received nothing in return, and received no answers from multiple emails sent.
If you have signed up for Mathews certification training, they are a Clickbank product, which means you have 60 days from the date of purchase for a no questions asked refund. If you wish to cancel, contact Clickbank if you are still eligible for a refund.
Don't fall for it. It is all false advertising. They tried to use a Canadian news article to sound legit. The newspaper company they used does not even exist. The make it look so real and when you try to research the article or even click on the page it leads you straight to the home income page. I also have tried searching for news interviews about home income jobs and none exist. On their own sight they don't show what news company in doing the interview. I know tv companies and they would never report something without their logo being shown. Anyone can produce a tv interview especially when they are making all that money off of people. I also checked to see where their company is located. It is in Cyprus across the ocean. If this was so legit why not have the office right in your own country, the United States. Stay far away from this.
Hello
As I've told you, all sales facilitated by our company are final. Therefore, you will not be receiving a refund. I can, however, continue to work on the upgrade we've discussed if you'd like. Please let me know if that's something you'd be interested in.
If there's anything else I can assist you with, please let me know.
Best regards,
Hunter Johnson.

Hello,
I must say I am not satisfied at all with the support you have "attempted"
to provide. I have received 2 calls and was questioned the whole time, when
do I get answers to MY questions?
I have been unable to use any of your services and require a
reimbursement... please advise once credit has been applied to my credit
card!
If I do not have a reply within by Nov 14th, I will take it as you are a
fraud company that are making money for services never rendered and will
proceed with further actions on my end.
awaiting a reply.

Hunter Johnson, Nov-10 13:35 (PST):
Hello Kelly,
Firstly, this is not a "Fraud." This is a legitimate opportunity for you to learn the fundamentals of internet marketing while earning extra money. Like any other endeavor that you invest yourself in, your success will be proportionate to the amount of effort you put forth. Until you have given this an honest shot, please retain such derogatory comments. Many are doing quite well with this program and you could be, too -- but if you have any desire to put this program to work, you'll need to stay positive. Remember, we're all in this together.
That being said,
Is there any particular reason you would like a refund?
Is there anything related to the functionality of the program that you need assistance with or are struggling with?
Also, have you relayed this to your coaching agent?
Thanks,
Hunter Johnson.
Kelly Pereira, Nov-11 05:56 (PST):
Hunter,
I understand your job, and I really did want to give you a "shot"... ergo
the reason I gave you my credit card number and actually purchased your
"program".
I have received 2 calls, from 2 different people asking me the SAME
questions... why is it so important for you all to know if I have debt or
maxed out credit cards? and if it so important, why wasn't it written
somewhere... why did it take almost 2 weeks to receive a second call???
I will NOT refrain from saying or doing anything, unless I receive
CONFIRMATION from my credit card company that you have refunded me the
full amount! It's called liberty of speech... and if for any reason you
refuse to reimburse me, I guess we'll find out how liberal I am.
reason I am requesting refund: I AM UNSATISFIED!
deadline is still Monday November 14th.
Hunter Johnson, Nov-11 11:55 (PST):
Hello Kelly,
There are several resources that our coaching agents can employ to assist you. The questions they were asking are routine and are intended simply to determine which resources would best suit you. Our coaching agents are veterans in the business and have helped many of our members achieve their goals much quicker than they could on their own. You certainly don't have to do anything that you're uncomfortable with or unprepared for; their assistance is invaluable regardless of how you choose to capitalize on it.
The refund policy that you agreed to when you signed up for this program (which can be viewed at the link below) mandates that all sales are final. Therefore, it is extremely difficult for us to issue refunds without a compelling case against the functionality of the program as the result of some defect. The quickest way for you to recover your initial investment (and much, much more) would be to review the educational resources included within your account so to effectively market your sites and start turning profits. The opportunity is yours!

I do apologize for any dissonance you may have experienced following your purchase with us. I know that this can be a bit overwhelming at first -- I was in your place once, too. But please understand that this gets easier as you go along. In fact, it can be quite fun. The information contained within your account is truly invaluable and if you put forth the time and effort to learn and employ that knowledge, I assure you that you will not be disappointed.
To help you on your way, I'd like to offer you our Pro Upgrade (a $297 value) free of charge. This will afford you ten additional websites (i.e. 10 times the web presence and earning potential). If I can arrange this for you, will you stay on board with us? We surely don't want you to miss out on this opportunity. Your success is our success!
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Hunter Johnson.

Wow!! and then you say you are not a fraudulent company?!
How can a purchase be final and no service received?? Over a month after purchase, and I still have no way of actually contacting someone?? Are there no phones that can receive calls from your customers?
Listen hunter, there's a reason you have your job, you are very good with words. So good for you, and this company if all your promises seem realistic to other people that feel the same way I do...
Problem now: I am an extremely hard headed person and my interest on your product has completely faded.
Unless I receive full refund as requested I will remain UNSATISFIED!
I do not want free upgrades on a product I still have no idea how to use, I do not want any other explanations... what I DO WANT is very simple, either refund me the full amount or forward my email to someone who can refund me...
If the answer bellow, which states your "sale is final" is your last word on the matter, i will look for other ways to speak out my dissatisfaction... Please DO NOT try to sell/ give me anything else... it will be a waste of time... I just want my money back!
I will be contacting legal aid to further research your "final sale" policy.
Looking at the other replies from the other companies, you might be lucky enough to be refunded. Cross your fingers.
Still not smelling a rat, I diligently sent off an email requesting the problem be fixed please. I got a ticket number...and a little bit of hope ...that I could finally finish what I started and take my foot off the pedal at my tedious yet completely legitimate and honest day job.
I have taken a weeks holidays to complete this 'farce.' That people like Michelle Matthews actually exist distresses me. I stumbled across this page whilst still trying to find a way to get onto the site....so thank you for closing a lesson learning chapter in my life. It's back to the drawing board for me and goodbye to my hard earned cash
