InboxPounds, found at www.InboxPounds.co.uk, is the new version of Inbox Dollars, a rewards website that allows members to earn money for doing their regular activities online, which is available in the United Kingdom.

Rewards websites allow members to sign up for free, and then pay them in either cash or prizes for doing the things they would normally do online anyway. At InboxPounds, you earn cash for the activities you perform, and you can cash out when you reach 20 pounds.

Rewards websites are able to pay their users because they partner with other companies who will use you for market research and feedback. This allows them a wide audience for study, and better enables them to make choices about their products, services, and marketing in the future.

How You Earn Money

InboxPounds says that you can earn money by reading emails, searching the web, taking surveys, playing games, and much more. And while it may seem hard to believe, it’s true. And you can sign up for free.

What they don’t say up front, however, is that the amount of money you will earn for doing is just a couple cents per activity you perform. This means that it will take quite awhile to earn 20 pounds.

This doesn’t mean that rewards websites aren’t worth it, however. Since the theory is that you are just supposed to be doing things you would be doing anyway, any money you earn is a bonus. This is not intended to replace your normal income.

The Concerns

With rewards websites like InboxPounds, however, there are a couple things to look out for. Since they will be paying you to read emails, you may want to sign up for a separate email account just for this purpose.

These emails may also give you opportunities to earn even more cash by signing up for special offers, products, or service trials. However, you must be very careful. Often these offers will cost you money in the end, because the trial subscriptions will often roll over into monthly fees, so it’s important to read the fine print.

  • InboxPounds, a great way to earn extra cash! I only use it for searching, getting 15 pence in one day is not much, but at least your getting something!
  • its a scam!! dont do this!!
  • I am almost at the £20 level after signing up 2 months ago, so £10 a month, but its for doing what I would normally do anyway. I ensure I read every email and always do the searches which gives you 15p a days worth of earning potential (£4.00 a month). I am however confused about the playing games to earn money on the site. It just seems to be a link to a game site and you don't receive any credits for the games you play.
  • As other people have stated, you will fill lengthy surveys, just to be told at the end that you do not meet the criteria. Despite filling in many of these to ascertain if the website was legit or not, after several months, I earned nothing at all, not one single penny. I would strongly recommend people avoid this site like the plague, you will waste your time, and earn nothing, yet still fill in all these surveys that they themselves will be making money from. The only conclusion I can ultimately come to, is that the website is nothing but a con.
  • It's not a good way to make money , you will just spend your time.
  • i have been on this site over 6 months you are lucky to get a penny very rare you get anything and i tell you when they offer pounds you never qualify for the survey you get half way through and they blank you out when you complain the site iis a joke they cant even answer you i wouldnt recommend anybody to this site
  • You get 1p for reading/answering an email. You are also invited to surveys, which sometimes are legit and you may earn 20p for 20 minutes of your time, but others take you through a lengthy survey, answering dozens of personal questions only to be suddenly told you don't meet the criteria. This happens a lot, Inboxpounds aren't concerned and don't answer emails complaining of this practice which is legally 'false pretenses'. Inboxpounds is no way to make money.
