Is Amber Robinson Legit or a Scam?

Make Money At is a new website targeting people who are looking for work at home positions.  For just $1, you can enter the training and accreditation program of the spokeswoman, Amber Robinson, who has been working in the auction listing agent field for years, and who is willing to give you the help necessary to be as successful as she is.

Though Amber Robinson and attempt to make it seem like an auction listing agent is a telecommuting job – a job where you are hired by a specific company to perform specific tasks out of your home instead of coming to an office – the truth is that auction listing is actually a work at home business opportunity.

An auction listing agent is self employed, and lists products on auction websites like eBay.  An auction listing agent makes money when an item they have listed is sold for more than the price they paid for it.

So is Amber Robinson and a Scam?

There are so many red flags and warning signs with this company, it is hard to know where to begin.

First of all, Amber Robinson works incredibly hard to make it seem like you will be directly working for a Fortune 500 company at a telecommuting job.  She mentions “qualifying” for a job, “accreditation”  programs, and she even breaks down all the reasons why Fortune 500 companies would want to hire you to work for them from home.  She even goes so far as to say that you will be getting paid by these companies for your work!

The truth is that an auction listing agent works for themselves.  They may be selling products created by a Fortune 500 company like Apple, Inc, but their paychecks are not signed by Apple.  They earn money from individual buyers on eBay just like anyone else who places items up for bid on auction sites.

Second, the actual work that is promoting is unidentifiable.  They call it an auction listing agent, but they refer to it as “placing ads.”  Placing ads online is a whole other type of employment, one that has been used by online scammers for years. is referencing two different types of work as though they were the same thing, and they definitely aren’t.

Third, Amber Robinson also goes out of her way to say that this employment requires very little money from you and has very little risk.  Whether this opportunity is auction listing or ad placing, this statement is a flat out lie.  Auction listing requires you to have an account with a drop ship company which can cost as much as $299.95 a month.  And ad placing costs you money every time someone clicks on your ad, and you only make money when someone buys something!  You could be out a lot of money with ad placing before you ever earn any income.

Finally, Amber Robinson also says that you will only ever have to pay a one time fee to be part of this program, and that fee is $1.00.  However, when you go to purchase the program, you are told that $1.00 buys you a two week trial, and then you will be charged $39.95 a month from then on.  If you choose to cancel the program, you can at any time, but only your $1.00 is eligible for refund. will not honor refunds for the monthly charges.

Clearly, it is in your best interest to stay far away from Amber Robinson and

  • i joined yest for a $1 trial and after the payment no response. and i think i got into this useless mess. can some help me as to how to get out of it
  • probably a somewhat too late reply but for any future visitors with the same problem with this scam auction site... (i just received an email offer for it today.... )i have previously been told by my bank that you need to cancel the card and any further payments cant be taken as the payment is authorised directly to that particular card only. so if you order and get a new card they must have the payments approved with your new card number unless it was a direct debit to your bank account though i assume it is more likely that you paid with a card over the net.
  • It is quite clear - evident scam. All names are fake. All photos are illegally downloaded from the Internet (I checked it). The creator of this waste relies on that for $ 1 nobody will freaking out. It would be good kick some her bum.
  • Well thank goodness I decided to check on her name and address before I fell into the same trap I believe so many has fallen into! I was so excited and now my guts is sitting in my shoes!!! Well at least I didn't loose any money! Well I'm looking for any online work like this but no SCAMS please. Can anybody refer me to something that actually does work please?
  • i fell in same problem, i pay 1 dollar and then now i have to pay more, my password and username dont function, and there is no place to call or talk face to face, and i now if you get a website you must pay for it, then you must pay for the traffic, and bla bla bla. SHE shows an easy way to earn money, but you find a lot of troubles.
  • Yes, so interesting they found a way to create another fee, how surprising;)I'm sure it's because sellers were accepting offers through PM and closing their listing and completing the transaction outside of Flippa. Hence no success fee for them. So at least they get the up front relisting fee now. When will they finally cut out this insane success fee and charge sellers according to the reserve fee they set. Just keep the half-off relisting fee. Everbody really wins if they can stop adjusting things here and there and everywhere and just fix it.And they seem to announce this after they already did it! Where's the newsletter or updates for this website that I am subscribed to in my control panel here!
  • I signed up to Amber Robinson's 'work from home' project, and have not recieved any information,or had any futher contact with her.

My emails are 'undelivered', and the published phone number is 'DEAD!!!

The 1$ trial is in my opinion, 'a sprat to catch a makeral',but it is the monthly fee that really 'HURTS', and i am unable to cancel the 'debit card' transaction with my bank, as it is a 'DIRECT PAYMENT!!!'

    My advice!

    • You are so right! This is just what happened to me. I'm going to my bank and cancel my debit card with that number. I think I can do that...if not...I`ll explain what has happen...and that I did not give them permission to take money out! I`ll get back to you and let you know how I made out. If you find a way out...get back to us with your solution. Ok? Is there a internet law to something like this? I'm just so pissed that I fell for this woman and her words! Damn! Foiled again!!
    • have you found a way to cancel it? because im in this shit too, if you do, please tell me! thanks
  • When she had her BAD days, someone SAVED her ( assuming the story she said is TRUE). yet SHE does not know how to be grateful. Now when she lives better, she started all this in a dubious way to bait readers. We know karma exists, so one just have to behave/ conduct one's business in a fair and just manner. If i don't read your review, i would have JOINED already paying $1,IF it does'nt work, i would cancel within 14 days, so $39.95 is no longer my concern. But IF someone miss the fine print he will be in trouble. Thanks
