Panda Research is a company that markets itself as a survey panel and claim that they can help their members make extra money. The company is open to all residents of the United States at least 18 years of age with a valid email address.

The difference between Panda Research and other survey sites is that this company provides you with surveys that are linked to company offers and other research studies. Essentially they are an intermediary putting you in contact with a variety of paid offers available online.

How Does Panda Research Work?

Once you register with the company you will be in their database and eligible to receive survey offers. You can login into your account to see what is currently available and you will also receive additional offers via email.

Email offers will contain a login code and links to the site where the survey is offered. Some surveys will contain a pre-screener so you may be asked to answer some basic questions before being approved.

In some cases you may not qualify for their survey, this happens from time to time when the researchers are looking for very specific demographics or requirements for their study. Do not get discouraged and simply try again next time.

The surveys shouldn’t take longer than 10 or 15 minutes. If you are prompted to sign-up for any trial offers of products be sure to read all the fine print. You may be entering a subscription for a continual use of a product after the trial – be sure to read everything first.

Getting Paid:

Panda Research pays out only when you have reached $50 in your account and will subsequently pay you in 50 dollar increments. So you checks will be for $50 or $100 and the remainder will be carried over into the next pay period.

You will be paid via paypal on the 1st or 15th of every month after the 30 day waiting period starting from when you submitted and verified your cashout request.

You can also get paid by referring friends to Panda Research, you will be eligible to earn 10% of their lifetime survey earnings.

Customer Service:

If you would like to unsubscribe from receiving Panda emails you can do so here, http://www.pandaresearch.com/uc?a=st&pt=uns.

If you have other issues you can contact support through their website at http://support.pandaresearch.com/. You will need to have your membership login information.

Online Reviews/Complaints:

Panda Research has been around for many years and in that time has accumulated a large number of customer reviews. Amongst those are many complaints alleging that the company fails to make timely payments and have purposely developed a convoluted payout process to confuse and deter people from pursuing their rewards.

Competitors and Alternatives:

Online surveys are very popular because they offer members a way to make some extra money from home and in their spare time. It’s important to research the companies that you work with to make sure they are a legitimate market research firm and not just an online lead harvester.

  • This is not a Research company; but a SELLER for other companies. It will definitely COST YOU MONEY and you can only hope and wait, to see if you ever get paid; any amount over what you were required to spend, in order to qualify! It is a SCAM.
  • I did get my first $100.00 payment from Panda, butafter several e-mails that went into a black hole, I finally got a call from them a couple days ago "confirming my account" and said I would be paid again shortly. I've been waiting since last May! Problem with the whole thing is getting signed up with long term agreements, and/or ordering something and getting charged $20.00 for shipping for a "free item"!
  • At first I was very impressed with Panda as I was with Vindale. Have you tried to write either one of them asking a question about your fund and PandaR sends the same "canned" answer to each person asking the question. "As soon as the advertiser confirms that you have complied" you will be paid. I took one survey that cost me quite a bit, I received the kit (used it as directed) and in the meantime sent PandaR a copy of my credit card charges...no reponse. Today I am sending them the empty sample box and a copy of the charges with a letter asking them to pay me now. We'll see what happens now. The same thing is happening with Vindale.com as well although they pay out at 50.00; they have slowed their payout way down so the money never gets there like it used to. Sounds like some "greedy" Top Hats to me? How about you?
  • Panda Research is a rip-off; not only do they take forever to verify the payouts from companies that you have tried they also take forever to pay you once you have enough offers finished. On one occasion (it might still be listed) they had an offer form ADT security in which you would have to sign a three year contract just to receive the money for trying them. I requested my payout of 118.00 on January 11th of this year and am still waiting for them to verify my PayPal account which I have had for several years; on the site they tell you that it may take up to six weeks to receive your payment, however after waiting for the allotted time I sent them an email asking about the payment and was told that I had to wait a minimum of three months. Keep in mind that I had already waited two months or more for them to verify the offers that I applied for. If you are trying to make a little extra cash don’t use this site it is a waste of your time
  • I agree, this company has to be exposed!!!! I think we should all expose them to the local news channels, so nobody else falls victim to these greedy little beasts! Let's do it!!!!!
  • Panda Research is not a scam web site. You can receive your earnings in a respectful way if you contact them directly if you did not receive your payment. They are decent people to work with. I would rate my experience with Panda Research as excellent and would recommend it over other similar web sites. Thank you.
  • I started thinking this was a scam when I had worked over 6 hrs. I accumulated $187.5 and only got approved for $1.5 so far !!!!! The biggest waste of my time in my life (except for that one time when i was 26 and dropped my girlfriend's ring in the toilet. Spent 4 hours just pushing it further down the pipes) definently NOT satisfied!
  • I'm on early Social Security for a lifelong social phobia. I got into Panda early this year to make a little extra at home on my own without dealing with people. I've supposedly accumulated $486. Last May 19th, I put in a request for the $200+ I was supposedly approved for. On the page where you request payment is this note: IMPORTANT : User Payment Request may take a little longer than expected during festival seasons since the approval/updates are slow due to higher number of Requests. Inconvenience Regretted !!

What are "festival seasons"? It seems that could be considered any time of the year. I've emailed them twice and they've ignored me. I don't find a phone number anywhere, and I could definitely use the money. I sent an email to 7 On Your Side, and got a phone call back from someone there. She said she'd never heard of the company, though I was pretty sure that Michael Finney had mentioned it once. I don't know if she is planning on taking this up with him to check on it or not. She did tell me not to expect anything. Most of the products I got were junk and the companies kept billing my credit card. Only a few canceled when I asked them to. I had to get a different credit card number to keep some of them away.
  • its so sad. all i got was a waste of my time sitting at the computer doing these scam..the one thing i dislike is that they always want you to do survey with your credit card for shipping and handling, etc for the trail. thats so these companies can get you on the trail..then you forget, and they try to charge your credit for more money...watch out..don't do it..
  • I just got in on it thpught it was going to be good, what a scam!! Wish I would have never seen it. I have loooked at a ton of "surveys" got a ton of junk mails. Only two good offers and only qualifed for $12.50. That is along way form the $100. Plus I bought a ring for 14.95, I signed up for a crappy discount card that wants to charge $14.95 momthly. I wil be sure to cancel that ASAP, I got film developed for 3.60. I used a credit card that had no balance so I will be sure to watch it closely.
