PayRipo, found online at PayRipo.com, is a work at home opportunity which claims that with just 5 to 10 minutes of time, their members can earn hundreds of dollars each day just by completing simple, basic tasks.
This website describes itself as an “innovative” new website, where members will be given access to a jobs dashboard the minute they sign up, which will instantly show them tasks they complete for immediate compensation.
Since there is no sign up or registration fee, creating an account with this company is free, and they claim that you are “guaranteed” to earn a minimum of $1500 in the very first week you begin completing your tasks with their company.
Warning Signs
The type of work this company is promoting – completing quick, small tasks for money – is actually a real opportunity called crowdsourcing. Many companies have realized that there are certain small tasks that are easy for people to complete but difficult for computers, and giving people quick access to completing these tasks for money has become a popular work from home opportunity.
Unfortunately, it is unlikely that this is a respectable crowdsourcing opportunity. The truth is that PayRipo.com wants their members to promote their website by posting referral links on forums and social networking sites, instead of providing them with real crowdsourcing tasks.
Another potential issue is that members of this company must earn a minimum of $300 before they are allowed to withdraw their earnings. This minimum is problematically high, because it will likely take so long to reach that many people will simply “quit” before ever being able to withdraw the money they have earned.
Finally, the website makes false promises, such as members are “guaranteed” to earn $1500 within the first week, however this “guarantee” is not detailed in a set of Terms & Conditions, which essentially makes it meaningless.
Legit Alternatives
The good news is that crowdsourcing is a real money earning opportunity, and there are many different opportunities from major companies who have gotten involved with hosting crowdsourcing opportunities, like Amazon Mechanical Turk, CloudCrowd, and Lionbridge Technologies.
You should always remember, however, that because these tasks are so quick and easy to complete that they don’t pay much – these opportunities are best suited for simply earning some supplemental income.
So, rather than do that (since I have no money) I waited till I got to 500. Then I tried cashing out again. It keeps telling me I haven't completed a survey, but I actually completed 2. I completed one for Intuit who is sending me something in the mail and then another one for a credit check today. I'm not doing anymore surveys till I get paid.
I did a lot of free advertising for them on different sites and I wrote them two emails of my displeasure of not being able to get my instant paypal payment. I've got bills due in three days that I cannot pay. Boo!
They replied to my emails and when I returned to the site it said my payment had been approved, but still I cannot cash out. So, is it because they're refusing to pay me instantly through paypal and still make me wait a month? I don't know. Maybe Payripo is short for payripoff!!?? I don't know.
I told them a lot of people are going to be mad at me for referring them to their site if they have no intentions of paying as stated.
Aren't these companies afraid of bad reviews???
Anyway, at this point I don't know what to think. I still have that tiny glimmer of hope that they will eventually pay me and in the mean time (because of all my ads) I'm racking up more and more money. THEY'D BETTER PAY ME, DANGIT!! I don't care if it's $10,000 by the time they pay IF they pay. And that's my 2 cents. :(
