PeoplePerHour is a website that connects small businesses with freelance workers from across the internet to help them complete small projects quickly and affordably.

According to PeoplePerHour.com, thousands of small businesses use them to hire remote, freelance workers to complete small projects, or just to work for a few hours a week. They claim this allows small businesses to stay flexible.

PeoplePerHour says this benefits small businesses because they can create virtual teams of people across the country – or even internationally – “without the red tape, cost, and bureaucracy of traditional employment.”

They have seven main categories of projects: IT/Programming, Marketing/Sales, Design, Admin/Secretarial, Writing/Translation, Accounting/Legal, or Other. Each category is broken into smaller, more specific categories so workers can something that works for them.

Both businesses and workers can register at PeoplePerHour.com for free. The website does take a small fee from workers, however, when they successfully book a job.

  • PPH is a scam!!! AVOID. Has ANYONE who has fallen victim to their activities informed the police?
  • SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Will never use again they have sat on my funds supposedly in ESCROW for over six months, after poor customer support, neither myself (buyer) or seller have the funds, and doesn't look like either of us will, so where are they PEOPLEPERHOUR!! ????????????????????
  • I used the PPH in the past, but I was not fully satisfied because of many issues and a bad support. Currently I use the jointohire.com . You should always try out couple of platforms to come up with the best for You.
  • They Deactivated My Account too, i sent them My Original NIC ( National Identity Card) And Passport with Utility Bill But They Said PPH either says that the user has violated terms and conditions but refuses to explain which terms and conditions exactly have been violated, or they say that the user has failed security checks
  • PEOPLE PER HOUR ! aka nightmare ! waste of time money and energy and get abused by their seller. I hired someone for names Ammad Z for my resume. its copy pasted and at times someones else's. PPH decided without my knowledge or consent pay the seller for a resume that mediocre, third class and false. I repeated asked for review and requested the job be cancelled and given to some one else PPH will still make the money but now I know there is no one in customer service reading messages, its all automated. and the Fb messenger is also automated. THEY ARE UNETHICAL, UNPROFESSIONAL AND EXTREMELY MEDIOCRE SERVICE PROVIDERS.
  • Avoid. I was a customer, we had some translating done. I left some money in the account for next time we needed someone, they emptied my account with out warning. Avoid, avoid, avoid!
  • Recently PPH start contest, maximum Contest are expired. Total awards 9 Contest and the other hand 100 are expired. It mean PPH publish fack contest and job...
  • People Per Hour - there is no information about the company, everything is hidden. No address, no telephone, no email, no contact. On the top of that they extorting personal sensitive data. They wanted data like I would apply for a loan:

    - a copy of a Government issued ID (Passport, Driver's License or National ID Card);

    - a copy of a recent utility bill showing your name and address (less than 3 months old);

    - a copy of the front and back of the card used.

    - Credit or Debit Card Bank Statement of the card used on your PPH account

  • Full of Indians pretending to be English offering poor quality work and undercutting and essentially de-valuing british freelancers.

    One example is a company called Dharmesh P. I wanted to meet up with them in London to discuss a new website and they gave me a british mobile. Clearly Indian i tried not to be put off but after 4 attempts and excuses about their office being under construction I asked if he was based in India and he admitted he was. This for me and many others is why PPH has such a bad reputation, if I wanted to employ an Indian based developer I would search for indian developers. PPH really need to get on top of this.
  • We use PPH extensively, we have previously used all other major platforms, elance, upwork etc.

    The freelancers on PPH are mostly of higher quality and do deliver flawlessly.

    A lot of the clients here write about mistakes we also made in the beginning.

    1. You get what you pay for. ALWAYS!

    2. Require real life customer references, ALWAYS!

    3. Pay well and get the job done, don't start by negotiating prices

    4. Be loyal to the freelancer and remember to reward a job well done.

    For freelancers.

    Do like your clients, check the customers review and track record. Avoid customers who wtart with negotiating price if at all possible. Avoid customers with no experience of using freelancers. Stay loyal to your regular customers.

    PPH is an immature and annoying platform but i do support what they started, an alternative to Upwork which is simply horrifying, arrogance, bad customer support, nasty hidden fees etc. They behave like they have a monopoly, which they used to have.

    Points for bidding and high fees for low turnover freelancers. This is needed to avoid the 10000 job offers from dubious individuals who bid on everything and usually start with "Dear sir, i will happily and jouful do the work you seek" We clients are sick of those and a freelancer who needs to spend money to bid is usually more serious.

      then you start to write as if its PPH advert.

      this rings true with the experience i am currently having. having contacted a five star top rated designer and developer, apparently a senior designer, i have encountered an incompetent liar who claimed to be from scotland who's grasp of English is so poor she simply ignores things i have said if she doesnt understand them rather than reveal her actual identity.

      no attention to detail whatsoever, visual or framework wise. first deadline was missed three months ago, i have been patient and allowed two other deadlines to be made and they are both long gone. she has tried to trick me into paying the full amount before the app is finished.

      i am in my fourth dispute in order to reclaim my escrow deposit of £1000. Customer service take a week to get back, there are no ways to actually discuss this issue with anyone, emails asking why no one will take this issue seriously are blankly ignored.

      each time i have requested a review the process involves me having to write from scratch my reasons for wanting a refund in great detail seemingly to people who do not keep notes. every time the review is process is not explained at all, no reasons for denying my refund mentioned. a two sentence email. We have review your refund request and it has been denied.

      These people are thieves. STAY CLEAR. some authority needs to step in and shut them down.
