PostalExam473.com

PostalExam473.com is a website that promises to help people prepare for and successfully take the exam required for people seeking possible employment with the Post Office.

This exam measures your ability in four different areas: checking addresses, completing forms, coding practices and memory, and experience inventory and personal characteristics.

PostalExam473.com goes out of their way to explain that their fee for practice materials is significantly lower than many of their competitors, which they quote at around $120, while their cost is only a one time fee of $39.97.

How Does It Work?

To get started you must select the state in which you are hoping to work and then fill out a short questionnaire regarding your age, Citizenship status, previous education, and whether or not you have previously taken any entrance exams for the Post Office.

Once you have completed the questionnaire you will need to pay a fee to receive your full practice materials, which will include a 200 page exam guide and several practice exams, with materials being updated on a regular basis so that users are always prepared for the latest exam versions.

According to their website, 98% of people who use their practice materials are able to pass their postal exams on the first try, often within the top 90th percentile of all test takers.

What Else You Should Know

In case you are unhappy with what you receive from this company, they do offer a refund policy which states that if you are dissatisfied at any point during the first 60 days of your purchase, you must return all physical products that were shipped to you and delete all digital video, audio, and text files you have obtained, and then ask for a full refund.

To request a refund you must first contact their Customer Service team, through two possible methods, either by email at [email protected], or by submitting any of your questions, concerns, or complaints directly to their website.

There are some other companies that specialize in this type of exam preparation, like PostalJobReplacement.com, as well as preparation guides and books which can be purchased at bookstores.

  • It sounds as if it's a scam in what they promise, but not in the way of stealing money from you. Hmmm... Obviously not wise to take any chances whichever the case.
  • This site is a scam! I am a retired USPS employee. I started as a letter carrier, became a supervisor, later an EEO Dispute Resolution Specialist and finally an Operations Support Specialist. You can purchase study materials at bookstores for less. The exams are not too difficult. Also, remember, veterans have preference for these jobs and some get points added to their test scores.
  • I paid for the information offered. After I received it, I realized that it was not what I was looking for. I immediately contacted the company and I was refunded the same day and hour that I made the original purchase. It was easy to track electronically on my credit card. I believe that the information would be helpful for someone looking to go through the process to join the USPS. It just was not for me and I was happy that the refund policy was quick and professional.
  • I'm honestly not sure what this is but I don't think they are affiliated with the post office. Seems very svsm adjacent. I didn't finish the registration process and am wondering how to get my money back. I thought I was applying for a job with the post office and the video said I would somehow receive tips to pass the exam. I paid a $39 fee which they immediately took out of my bank account but after receiving an email from that was marked in my spam folder as dangerous I did not continue. Can I get my money back? Or are they scammers who are going to take more from me?
  • Can someone please tell me how to get a refund???
  • Any site that requires your card numbers and wants money so that you can apply for a job is a scam. Don't trust this website because it isn't even the us postal website and if anything you should apply here https://about.usps.com/careers/search-apply/.
  • I will say it isn't necessarily a scam, it is a study guide for the test the USPS will give you before hiring, however it did seem like an actual application form. I called immediately after I realized it wasn't what I thought it was and received a refund no problem. It did take a little while for a refund. The customer service was very kind and understanding.
  • I ordered the materials and applied for a position as instructed by what was sent to me. Unfortunately, I didn't get the job but I forwarded the e-mail to the company and they issued a refund for my order which posted to my account 5 days later. I'm bummed I didn't get the job but they did help me apply and everything and did refund my money as promised. I will be trying again in the future for another position.
  • ANY site that charges you (even purported "refundable" charges) to apply is a scam. You'll notice in the e-mail you got back that they gave you the link for the actual USPS website. So you paid for an "exam guide" and a link that you already probably had bookmarked. These people are evil and will kick your grandmother in the c*** for money. They're lower than heat-vent-worm s*** and they probably justify their actions as an expensive lesson in trust.... f*** you, internet

j/k I love you internet, I just don't want to see anyone hurt you
  • This is sad. People taken people money for what.
