  • Do not!!! I repeat do not sign up for this so called free trial!! I cancelled this trial before the expiration date and still got charged for $89.95 from my checking acct.!! I have yet to be able to talk to anyone regarding this!! Been on hold for 40 minutes!! They are closed on weekends and they're closed after 6pm on weekdays eastern standard time!! Which is the time most people are able to call and tell them about themselves!! I am so upset!! I have never posted anything about any company in my life!! Now i have to deal with my bank and get this reversed if possible!
    • They tried this with me also..I did not sign up for this trial i never gave them my bank account info though they tried i also was catching diff. Info such as phone # this is fraud ppl listen to all these ppl this is not a legit site to get any kind of creditscore. I do know ppl who use life lock. And like it but check things out on your own nvr evr give away your info to a company till u have cleared them bt the bb or something...Or b like me and just dont do any of this online stuff i was linked to this site while trying to look and /or sign up for hud housing... So, you just never know....Good luck everyone
  • I also did sign up with Profinity for coupons and gift cards. For four months I have not received anything from this company. I called to cancel my account today, after waiting for 20 minutes, the representative tried to convince me to stay with them for two months for no charge. I said no and cancelled anyway. Don't sign up with them! Stay away from them!!
  • This is a scam. I responded to a listing for a rental house on Craigslist and was told that I must bring a credit report from Profinity. There is no rental house at the location mentioned in the ad and when I Googled the text of the ad, I found it was lifted, verbatim, from an old advertisement for a completely different house.
  • Craigslist scam - responded to ad for house, got "legit" sounding reply asking me to go through profinity before they would do anything, without bothering to also answer basic questions.
    • Now they are doing jobs that you have to use profinity...and luckily I wasn't born yesterday and cross checked everything. I replied that I already have my credit report...btw was the persons name Josephine Morgan?
  • I got the same ad from craigslist. The person emailed that before i could look at the home for rent i had to click on the link and sign up for a credit report. It is a referral scam and there is nothing for rent. I'm glad i didn't fall for it. I forwarded their affiliate link to Profinity. I hope they get banned from the site.
    • thank you Kim. I was looking into renting a place in redwood city, ca and they sent me a link to get a report or something but it looked like a scam to me. thanks for confirming
  • Been with profinity for almost a year now, I signed up mainly just for the coupons, but I've gotten so much more in return instead. I pay about 18 a month for this service, but I order pizza once or more a month, and i send the receipt to them, they send me 25 dollar rebate check in return, also early into your membership you will get a 50 dollar gas rebate, spend 10 dollars, get 10 dollars rebate check in return per visit till you get all 50 so technically early on you should be getting at least 35 dollars a month, +27 coupons a week, roadside assistance 3 times a year up to 100 dollars each incident ( i used this service already and all you do is call them and they send someone out( 1 hour response time for them to send someone to air up a flat tire of mine )it covers tows etc, i just didnt need that done , no charge at all, they pay right away so no need to wait for refund etc) you also get a free year subscription to a magazine of choice, lots to choose from.I chose that Seventeen magazine for my gf to read. Free long distance calling card to anywhere in the USA and Canada, they also have a gaming section on their site, wouldn't say they are top of the line games, but games nonetheless, bottom line is this, I pay them 18 a month approx and I get 27 grocery coupons a week, 25 dollar rebate check for spending 25 dollars at any restaurant, occasionally gas rebate or Walmart rebates, spend 10 get 10 back etc, its free just gotta wait for the rebate checks, oh well :P I highly recommend people try this company out. It helps to have your own computer with a scanner so you can copy and send them your receipt thru the internet.
    • I experienced the same thing with them. I do forget to get the grocery coupons though. lol. Roadside assistance saved my butt when I hit black ice and went into the ditch. I have also used them two other times and it didn't cost me a thing. they have stopped the 25.00 checks though but still, it's well worth the money. ps. I do NOT work for them and I don't believe that you do either, as Desperation seems to think. I never did the employment part so maybe that doesn't work the same way, beats me. but I love them and i'm still a member after many years.
    • This guy works for them. He is sent here to monitor sites like this and the place Positive feed back about the site. Just another way for them to scam you. Do not listen to him. I was approached about a job, and was real happy I was. I have been out of work for 6 months now and still trying to make ends meet with unemployment. I eagerly followed the link from the email I received from a "legit" recruiter. I filled out all the info for the "pre-job" screening and at the end it gave me a link to Profinity to get a "free" credit report done. I wasn't thinking..I was desperate... I need a job to support my family..so I followed the link and filled out the info. I woke up this morning to my wife asking who is "pro-credit" and why did they take $30 out of our account. This is a scam, and this guy jason...or anyone else who gives a positive story about this is working for them. I have been around enough to know better, but like I said, desperate people in desperate situations will do things they normally wouldn't do. Its too bad that their are slimy company's and even slimier people out there that prey on the desperate and weak. I now have to put a freeze on my credit and cancel my credit cards to be sure not to damage my credit.
  • I have been with Profinity for 6 months and am very happy with them. I get weekly coupons of my choice, a $25 check monthly after I submit a receipt from a restaurant plus a $25 check after spending $25 at Walmart. I have used their companion airline pass for a free ticket. I have no complaints!!
    • You will also notice that with these positive responses that spelling, punctuation, everything it gramatically perfect.
    • Once again...she is a bot monitoring software. It is designed to monitor these types of websites and provide positive info.
    • What exactly are these offers you receive? I'm under the impression that Profinity is a credit monitoring service, why would they send you weekly coupons or anything else? I find your information highly dubious, I don't like to point fingers, but the fact that you posted conveniently after me with a positive review makes you look like a troller for the company.
  • I signed up to try their free service of viewing my credit ratings from all three bureaus.

Their site doesn't tell how long the trial offer is valid for, nor do they tell what they charge.

I had opted for the free service to view my credit, yet when I cancelled it, they billed me me $29.95.

I called them, and they told me I had enrolled into a service where I was able to view all three credit ratings at once, and that the free service was only to view one credit rating. I was SHOCKED. The ad specifically said I had a free trial to view all three credit ratings.

Furthermore, when I asked to speak with a manager, they hung up after 'supposedly transferring me'.

They also blamed me for enrolling into the paid feature, telling me I had done it incorrectly. As of this date, every time I have called them, they have instantly hung up on me when after I choose the option to speak to a representative.

I do not recommend their services to anyone, and would advice all other users to avoid their service.

Addendum: In the above, I have contacted them four times, each time resulting in a hang up when they said they would transfer me to a supervisor.
    • Sorry to hear ya got charged like that, I haven't checked the free credit part since I had already did a free credit report with equifax prior to signing with profinity, some things ya really gotta read real close and make sure your not getting a charge, I read your above message to Michelle btw, Im in no way a troll, im surprised you thought it was only a free credit report site though, read my other message, it explains a lot more. I discovered profinity thru a game I play called Battle of the Immortals, by signing up for this site I was given in game currency and it was a 14 day free trial, I signed up for probably 30 deals on this game, I cancelled all but 3, profinity, gamefly and blockbuster online. As far as the hang ups go, I'm flabbergasted as to why thats happening, ive only called them the 1 time for a flat tire myself and was taken care of, they had a guy drive about 30miles from my location just to inflate my tire with air, but thats all i asked for, the guy came with one of those plug in portable air inflators that typically take 10-15min to fill up, but again just needed air, not a tow and i asked that guy how much they got paid for coming out this way, and it was like 15 bucks i think he said.
  • I responded to a craigslist ad. for an apartment where I was directed to go to a website called rerentals.net. That in turn directed me to a website called first house financial. After signing up for a 7 day free trial to view their exclusive apartment listings for free for the first 10 days, which I had to pay $10 for btw. I was then directed to Profinity which wanted me to sign up for their free credit report service. All I wanted to do was look for a GD Apartment!!! Now they got my $10, I have no access to any apartment search engine and I have reported them to craigslist as a scam as they wanted my SS# to help me find an apartment. The number I called from craigslist was 786-522-2011 and they called me back from a number 571-305-1328

DO NOT SIGNUP FOR THIS.............IT'S A TOTAL SCAM
  • I signed up 4 months ago. I pay $11.98 per month. As I spend more than $25 per month on restaurants, I get a check from them of $25 EVERY month! Great service!
