Real Writing Jobs Reviews – Legit or Scam?

RealWritingJobs.com is a website that’s designed to help people find a variety of writing jobs; they claim to have a ton of leads and are simply acting as middleman between writers and contractors.

These types of sites have been around before and usually provide mixed results. These sites work by using software which visits a collection of job search sites, freelance websites, and other areas online where work for writers gets posted. They then return these results in your members’ area.

In most cases these are real writing jobs and are usually put out by website and blog owners who want cheap labor to fill their sites full of content. Other examples may involve writing product reviews that again are used by webmasters.

The one thing you need to be careful of is overhyped promises of riches; you may have been told that you can get paid up to $125 for writing one article but that is by far the exception and definitely not the rule when it comes to working with sites like RealWritingJobs.com.

First off, the really high paying jobs require the ability to not only write well but to be able to write on highly technical issues like medicine or electronics. Second, if these jobs do get publicly posted they are reserved for highly experienced writers that can provide web references for their work.

Bottom line is, don’t get too excited about massive payouts. Realistically you’ll be looking at a range of $5 – $12 per article or blog post. The sad fact is that real writing jobs, along with other coveted online work, gets outsourced overseas, making it difficult for US based freelancers to compete and making them work for much lower pay.

Is RealWritingJobs.com a Scam?

Since RealWritingJobs.com does what they say they do – provide you with leads for real writing jobs – it’s not a scam in the sense that they are being blatantly deceptive. However, there have been issues in the past with their billing policy and the quality of their service.

RealWritingJobs.com used to require a monthly payment for continued membership access to their writing responsibilities, which was frustrating for members who were paying more to maintain their membership than they were often earning.

The website has addressed this issue, and they are now offering membership for a one time fee. This fee has changed over time and is currently quoted at $34.00, though the one time membership fee has been as high as $68.00.

Fortunately this one time fee is processed through Clickbank. This means their service also now comes with a 60 day, no questions asked guaranteed refund policy if you are not happy with the service they are providing.

  • Don't fall for the hype. Stick to what you know: build your network, promote yourself. Don't let these guys fool you into believing that they have anything worth a nickel.
    • Well, I found the post helpful. I'm trying to get whatever ono/advice I can locate. If its not a thumbs up its best to avoid the whole dispute for refund thing if possible.
  • This post is not very helpful at all,

Who really cares about some one who failed doing so?? and why point the finger at RWJ?? are you guys contracted to write to them??? no your not, RWJ did their job by providing a list of companies you can write for, that's who you are working for, NOT RDJ! that's the bottom line here which everyone seems to miss the point..when things go wrong you blame who??? why not tell everyone about the companies you actually worked for?? where is the business plans you guys should have had upon joining up in the first place??

where are the stats regarding your work loads??? who did you write for? what was the formalities working for these companies you had to go through?? was it as easy or hard?? what kink of criteria do you have to posses ??? who would this kind of work better suite??? anyone?? perhaps someone with very poor grammar and spelling problems??

what kind of posts did you make, blog / article / or scripts??? how many post did you make a day?? according to your business plans?? or did you see what you thought you were going to make?? what kind of hours did you put into this?? how many articles were rejected and why?? what did you do to fix them???

What kind of support is there for some one who is not a competent in this field?? do you have to have a high degree in comprehension to understand the terms and condition required when you have selected a company you wish to work for?

Lets look into what RDJ position is here... firstly they are only a gateway for people looking for this kind of work, they went out to compile a list of sites for you so that you didn't have to do the hard yards, simple enough?? who cares what and how they went about doing it, you pushed the by now button no one else!

strange enough as I see it, people still point the finger at RDJ but you never see any mention of the companies these writers had signed up to, this is in fact your bank!! they pay you, NOT RDJ!! so clear this up first and foremost! your pay checks comes from the companies you sign up to..make no mistake. so again how is it RDJ fault???.

Did you know that most of the writers that do work for companies are highly educated techno speed writers, they know how and what to write about with a cross reference to support the articles, skill at its best,do you guys have any idea as to how much work these guys can turn out??? even if all they got paid was a $5 to $12 bucks per submission. who here has interviewed a writer of such caliber that has gone though RDJ to land their dream job?? anyone ???? I bet not a single person,

Don't make a call based on a single post, where there is no data available to the reader to support the lost time and money spent trying to get somewhere.

If you guys lost your money, tough!! do your research but always look for stats not gripes, go out and take the bull by the horns and experience it your self, learn from mistakes that others have made along the way so that you don't come up six cards short of a full playing deck, having just said that, there is one big major problem!!!! no one is talking about the problems they went through and why it went wrong for them, its so much easier to blame not the company you had worked for, the Gateway that made you buy into it.

Wake up guys, don't laugh at others going to try this out, support them and help them.

drill deep when your researching, drill deep as you can, ask the right question, you will get to where you are heading, there will be no calculated guesses, but one that will most differently help you make that call!!

    good luck peeps :))
    • Well Jason, you certainly spent a lot of time with that rant. Much of it is very relevant but I couldn't keep reading it and just end up skimming through the rest. Why? Because it was so poorly written...every sentence has some sort of technical or grammatical error which makes the whole rant laughable. You are not a writer's left testicle.
    • Jason, I sure hope you DON'T get paid for writing. You need some serious lessons in grammar, punctuation and spelling.
    • tch tch... such cynicism. Maybe you work for RWJ? Maybe you're the unfortunate one who writes those dreadful letters and that gawdawful website? Not to be overly critical, but if you are that sad talent, you need a professional writer.

  • Please beware - I have been a victim of Scamming by subscribing to this site and affiliated partners. I signed up, viewed the postings and took a good look at their special offers as a member - one of which was the creation of a website/hosting via websitehosting.com. I paid the fees to host the domain and when I woke up the next day I realised that I had acted hastily and decided to cancel both the subscription and the website hosting. I got automated emails confirming that the refunds would be processed. The refund from realwritingjobs only came when I entered into a formal dispute via Paypal...but then the problems started. I was contacted by a 'supervisor' purporting to be in the technical team from website hosting wishing to process my refund for $270. He was based in India and had the full details of my transaction, the name of the domain registered, my card details you name it. He said that because it was a domain site he needed to access my computer to deregister it (I know, I know - how naive am I!!!!!). He asked me to search for ammyy.com and he then had remote access to my computer. I can't believe how stupid I was but I did everything he told me to (he had all of my details so stupidly assumed he ws legit). He said that in order to refund the monies I needed to set up a Wstern Union account, 'hold' $270 in it so they could process the full amount back once everything had been confirmed and verified. I feel so embarrassed that I have allowed myself to have been scammed but as you can imagine, the funds were deposited into an account in India and I have no way of recalling them via Western Union. To be fair, Websitehosting.com haven't replied to me as yet but even if they are innocent - and I can't see how - realwritingjobsjobs provide and sell this service via their own company. Beware.
    • Don't feel so bad. Everyone has done stupid things in their life. No one knows what you shouldn't do until they learn. Sadly, you learned the hard way. Thank you for sharing your experience!
    • lets see i get a reply from the questions i asked:

Is this real, because i have seen and heard of so many scams going on,

before i decide to sign up there are a few questions that need answers, as:

1/Is this a legitimate business? you should have a business code number i can follow up to legitimacy.

2/ Can payment be guarenteed from your clients?

3/Based on FACT of payments for documents received, your clients were payed; what about the people doing this program Are they satisfied. I see no evidence of this on your website.

4/ is there a mail address and Telephone number for yourselves and the companies who are using the service, Along with a registered business number?

5/ Arbitration/ bankrupt, who do i go to?

6/ who pays the money owed to the people who write articles, you, or your clients?

let me know these answers please,

      Sincerely,

      Mr M A Infiltrator
    • Apologies the web hosting site is sitehosting.com and NOT Websitehosting.com.
  • I agree. Thank you Reviewopedia and the review posters for expressing their views of mywritingjob.com. I have tried a few of these work at home type jobs that they offer online and in newspaper ads and have never found one that was actually what they said it was. I did try one that I made bead bracelets, but it was so time consuming and complicated that I could not even complete one bracelet to get my investment of materials back.

So, cheers to all of us who have actually tried one of these work at home propositions, as we have lived and learned and probably didn't eat for a couple days just to pay for it! Now is our time to shine as the next generation of " let's be real " folks! In the age of digitalization; we never know if something is real or not!

    Let's fight back friends! Sincerely.
    • Yeah! There even trying there luck this side a da pond.(cockney accent).

I think if you where interested in the Bracelets thing you could buy some of your own semi precious stones and try your own designs; see what you can come up with yourself. the matter of complexity in the design: with a little bit of effort and time the potential for simplification is expanential. TV is loaded with shopping channels that spew out products all the time. Audrey I am trying not to advertise any in particular, because non of them are paying me for that service yet, but just look at the obvious ones. There are no quick methods just multi vector income. At least all the web gurus i've ever read say this about e-commerce, and that takes research time and planning. I'm in the planning stage just because I personally will not do a thing unless i am comfident I understand it.

There you go thats my contribution to the magazine of fight back friends.

Good Luck Audrey, and in fact to you all.
  • Nobody on here is willing to shell out $36 bucks to see in fact the company is legit and whether or not get paid for their writing?? I'm going to pay the $36 get to work and see for myself. Reading the reviews of 100 skeptics but none willing to step up to the plate is pointless. The writer of this review should of least subscribed herself to Mywritingjob.com and gave us an honest report whether this is real.

Stay tuned. I'll see for myself if there is any value here. Suckers!
  • Damn.. now im in trouble.. I made myself to real writing job, as i was doing some research i found it good. i never saw this page before or any page that showed me i have to do fee every month. there is written on that i can ask for my money back in 60 days. how can i do it. little help please,... !!
    • If the company does not respond to your refund request, all you have to do is to contact Clickbank directly:

      https://www.clkbank.com/orderDetail.htm

You can use that above link put in your refund request and they will definitely issue a refund. No problems at all.
    • RealWritingJobs.com's policy says that it's a 1-time only fee. I wonder when this article was written or who's telling the truth...
  • I honestly don't understand how people get scammed. If someone offers you EASY money it's OBVIOUSLY a rip-off. If money was so easy to make, then everyone would be rich by now.

It really annoys me how people complain that they've been scammed or ripped-off... It's just common sense to understand that if money is that easy, there'd be no such thing as poverty.

RealWritingJobs is legit... it's just a legitimate way of getting money in your pocket.

If you want easy money... then scam others in a legit way. ha.
    • It's because they say "anyone can do it". As a famous showman once said, "There's a sucker born every moment." It's easy for the naive, or desperate, to believe it.

I'm glad I looked into this further before signing up; they added me on Twitter, but you know how that goes.
  • On December 11, 2012 I watched a very professional looking video for mywritingjob.com website. "Alex' promised immediate access to the website and a 50% discount of $34 for a one-time registration fee that would give writers and freelancers access to posted, daily jobs. No commissions would be deducted after enrollment.

I used my credit card and paid $34 to register. Five minutes later I received email confirmation for payment. However, I never received the enrollment email containing a link to register a user id and password. Over a 72 hour period, I tried reaching them via email and their support chat line. Not a single response. Today is December 13, 2012 and my credit card charge is no longer pending. It disappeared completely. After doing a bit of online research, I discovered mywritingjob.com website has been operational in 2012 only. One technical writer stated she could not find any writing assignments on the website when it was operational. I have since enrolled with freelance.com which is a legitimate website. Buyer beware of online writing job scams.
