SnagAJob.com

SnagAJob.com is a job search website that helps connect people with jobs in their area. Once you’ve reviewed the jobs available and identified ones that interest you, you can create a profile on Snag A Job and apply directly to the job from the website.

You can also post your profile to be viewed, so employers can contact you if they feel you are qualified to fill a position. In this way, SnagAJob.com claims to be similar to other job finding websites such as CareerBuilder.com or Monster.com.

Snag a Job provides a range of job types, from warehouse inventory jobs to higher level jobs that require further education or experience. SnagAJob.com also provides information on degree programs for people looking to improve their job finding chances.

So is SnagAJob.com Legit or a Scam?

First and foremost, many of the jobs available on SnagAJob.com are legitimate, and they may have helped connect members with them. But you’ll also notice that on their list of available jobs, there are many jobs offered from online opportunities like paid survey companies.

Most people that are signing up at an online job database are looking for more traditional jobs that come with a steady paycheck, as opposed to online business or supplemental income opportunities. If you receive one of these offers after signing up with SnagAJob.com, make sure to investigate the company before investing any money.

In addition, according to their Full Privacy Policy, they provide your contact information to partner companies and third party companies in order to contact you with advertisements or special offers they think you might be interested in based on your site activity.

If you do not want to be contacted by these companies, you can try to change your Snag a Job profile to more accurately reflect the types of emails you would like to receive, but you may also choose to set up a separate email account to deal with the communication you receive from them.

  • This website really needs to update the offers they show. I called several jobs to ask and see if they were hiring and that I got the information from snagajob and they had no idea what I was talking about and were in fact, NOT hiring.
  • I have applied to dozens of jobs over the past year and I have not been called once from either snag a job or a position I applied for. They send me an e-mail a day showcasing job opportunities but not one of them has gone through. I'm unsure if Snag a job even sends my application to the the employer. Best to apply the old fashioned way.
  • I hate having to apply on-line for a job. So many places say they hire through snag a job. The only responses I get are calls from university of phoenix wanting me to further my education or unable to finish an application or told when I make an appearance at a business that they are not hiring now. I'm so sick of all the bull one has to go through to try to find a job. I've pretty much quit looking. Seems such a waste of time for me and every one I talk to in the process. What is this country coming to? All I want is a simple job in the restaurant business or retail. Why is that so hard to do? Way too many places telling one how to do a resume etc. What is the big deal about even having a resume? Or is it all about government control and places and people getting ones private information?
  • I think they need to update their offerings more often. I just called on one that had at least 3 job postings. The manager said they do not have any openings at this time. Also, it claims that most Starbucks in our area are hiring. I find that very hard to believe so I called one. The manager said "they are accepting applications." That didn't exactly answer my question.
  • I found a job first hit on snaga job very satisfied with it
  • Snagajob also sells your information to telemarketers. I filled out a few applications on the site, and I ended up getting calls from a company called Career Advisor. They would call non-stop! Be careful about the info you post on there.
