SnagAJob.com

SnagAJob.com is a job search website that helps connect people with jobs in their area. Once you’ve reviewed the jobs available and identified ones that interest you, you can create a profile on Snag A Job and apply directly to the job from the website.

You can also post your profile to be viewed, so employers can contact you if they feel you are qualified to fill a position. In this way, SnagAJob.com claims to be similar to other job finding websites such as CareerBuilder.com or Monster.com.

Snag a Job provides a range of job types, from warehouse inventory jobs to higher level jobs that require further education or experience. SnagAJob.com also provides information on degree programs for people looking to improve their job finding chances.

So is SnagAJob.com Legit or a Scam?

First and foremost, many of the jobs available on SnagAJob.com are legitimate, and they may have helped connect members with them. But you’ll also notice that on their list of available jobs, there are many jobs offered from online opportunities like paid survey companies.

Most people that are signing up at an online job database are looking for more traditional jobs that come with a steady paycheck, as opposed to online business or supplemental income opportunities. If you receive one of these offers after signing up with SnagAJob.com, make sure to investigate the company before investing any money.

In addition, according to their Full Privacy Policy, they provide your contact information to partner companies and third party companies in order to contact you with advertisements or special offers they think you might be interested in based on your site activity.

If you do not want to be contacted by these companies, you can try to change your Snag a Job profile to more accurately reflect the types of emails you would like to receive, but you may also choose to set up a separate email account to deal with the communication you receive from them.

Average Rating for " Snag A Job " is 1.76 out of 5 based on 181 reviews.
  • Snagajob is a very bad, disgusting pitiful site, I can relate to what everybody is saying about them. From reading all these reviews I only come across maybe 2 or 3 positive experiences but when you read 95% of negative reviews versus positive, the majority rules and knowing this I will not be using this site anymore. I will apply directly to the company's website. Good Luck to you all ad keep on trying, we will make it one day.
  • Snag a job is only being paid to phish for personal information by their so called third party or second party. This phishing is against the law and the law is too stupid to figure the evidence is in the paid bills or bank accounts.
  • I gave Snagajob a chance for almost a year. I should of read reviews on it first. I applied for several jobs on there and I never got a call back or heard anything from those companies I applied too. But then a month or two later I will continuously see positions available at the same jobs I just applied for a months or so ago accepting applications for the same positions. And I still see these same positions and businesses circulating and being sent to me to my email. Too bad all anyone can do is snooze the account and not delete it. I unchecked everything since I don't want to receive anything from them again. Don't go on that site. Ever.
  • Signed up with them the other day, big mistake. There is a particular option that is hidden during registration that was leading college recruiters and salespeople to call my phone at all hours of the night.

The particular hidden option in question is this:

"Yes I am interested in furthering my education and would like to learn about opportunities" It only appears in your profile after registration, you can try to deactivate the option when editing your profile, but once you save the changes, the option just becomes reactivated.

Privacy invasion. Now I get unwanted calls from telemarketers wanting me to buy their rainbow rubber ducky and college recruiters as far as Japan, wanting me to relocate and enroll in their college.

The site is a waste. And as others have stated, there is no option to upload your resume. There is a link, but it takes you to a "page not found"

I did manage to get in contact with them today and they have deleted my profile from the site.
  • THE JOBS DON'T EXIST!!! I went to all of the Dress Barn job locations for which I applied and they said that the positions that were advertised don't exist!
  • They keep calling your phone number for school offers and other things everyday and just won't F**k off. Don't give them your information.
  • Just started using about a week ago... not sure if I will get hired. But honestly all this scam bullshit... most companies have online applications and when they do it SENDS YOU TO THE COMPANY PAGE. It shows you job possitions. They inform you of who's hiring. I have not once been asked to give my ssn besides on company websites.
  • SNAGAJOB has two aspects NOT fully and completely disclosed before you sign up.

    1) The Job Alert emails you receive are based only on your geographic area. When companies have new jobs available in your area, you'll receive Job Alerts if you have opted in to receive the emails -REGARDLESS of "fitness" for the job. If you are ONLY looking for work as an nuclear engineer you'll receive all notices for exterminators, burger flippers, door-to-door Christmas card salesmen and security workers as well.

    2) While TECHNOLOGY permits the company to IMMEDIATELY unsub you, they live behind the law which gives them 10 days to fulfill your unsub request, since that allows them to collect more revenue from their advertisers.

These facts are NOT disclosed before you sign up.
  • You guys are idiots your just not the right fit for the job obviously, I applied for a job at long John silvers and got called two weeks later. You guys are lying by saying snagajob is a joke!!
  • I know snagajob doesn't delete your info, but here's what I did I just put in a fake information to replace the legit info that I used to have.
