Univox Community Reviews – Legit or Scam?

from 10 reviews Review It

The Univox Community is a market research website which provides its panel members with rewards in exchange for giving their “thoughts and perspectives about the products and services of the future.”

The Univox Community is open to members from over 150 different companies all around the world and on six different continents. They don’t list age restrictions, instead saying that they are looking for as many diverse opinions as possible.

According to their website, becoming a member is free and all you have to do is provide them with basic profile details like age, gender, and education background and you’ll get your active account along with a 500 point sign up bonus.

How It Works

After you successfully sign up and complete your profile, you’ll begin receiving survey invitations for products and services which match your demographic. The surveys will vary in length, usually between 10 and 15 minutes, sometimes longer.

The estimated length of the survey will be given to you up front before you agree to take the survey, and longer surveys will result in more points.

Univox Community does not pay their members cash. Instead they “reward” them with points, with 100 points being equal to one dollar. When you reach 2,500 points, you can cash out your account with a $25.00 Amazon gift certificate.

Is It Legit?

Well, in addition to being free to sign up and having a fair minimum level of compensation and payout, Univox Community also promises that they will never sell your personal information to advertisers or marketers and that you will never receive sales promotions of any kind.

They also promise that your points will never expire, and that if there is any reason you need to take a break from taking surveys your membership will never be canceled because of inactivity.

Finally, the website doesn’t mention any pressure to “complete offers” or “try products” which can often result in members paying out more money than they earn from taking the surveys.

All in all, as long as Univox Community does in fact honor their payouts under the conditions they describe, they appear to be a fair market research company, though you should always keep in mind that it takes a long time to earn money with market research.

  • 3 years ago, this used to be a good site. I got lots of surveys, many of which I qualified for. If I didn't qualify for a survey, they paid me 5-cents. Now, getting a 5-cent payment depends on "client needs," and I'm hardly getting even 5-cents anymore for disqualifying. I hardly ever qualify for a survey now, and I hear of many other members not being paid for surveys they complete. This site has definitely gone to the dogs. I'm done with it. One thing I will admit: they always paid me, and usually quickly. I've made about $1000 from them in all my time there. Not bad. Wish it could have continued. I would say they are honest and not a scam, but their organization is in the toilet, and their site is not worth the trouble anymore.

  • I've been a member for about a year and was happy with this site at first. Then they started not crediting me for surveys I completed. Then I had to wait 2 months for my Amazon card, rather than the two weeks they claim it takes. I'd try emailing them and not get a response. Now they've started rejecting over a third of their redemption claims, telling people it's because of "suspicious activity," but not letting them know what they did to have the claims rejected. This site is becoming really sketchy and I'm through with them once I get my last gift card. If they reject it, I will file a complaint with BBB. A bunch of people have done that.
  • 4.5/5 has its problems but overall a very good site, I've earned over $1350.00 in the last year. Never had a problem getting my payments and ive requested over 70. I'm not happy they no longer offer Dwolla, but they've said PayPal will be made a option starting in January. In the meantime Visa and Amazon are okay.
  • I finally reached enough points for a $25.00 Amazon card redemption which I claimed a month ago. Having not received anything I emailed Univox only to be told I had received my redemption and also redeemed it???? This is not true. I have now been sent an Access Code and told to Activate it, but am taken to a Visa Card Site where you have to pay. I believe this Univox site is nothing but a scam and I am so sorry I've wasted my time on their surveys. I will definitely NOT be doing any more.
  • This site has to be the worst I've come across. Not only do you get screened out of 90% or so, but those that you do complete are often not credited. The Amazon cards are not sent on request but replaced with Visa cards. These need a special account to be opened and if you want to redeem them for cash it costs most of the value in transfer fees. A complete rip off. The site is chock full of complaints by respondents, an endless stream of unhappy survey takers. I've just told the people who run the site exactly what I think and I'll stick to those companies that pay out in a fair manner.
  • I have been part of univox community for last 3 years and made 18 redemptions so far so i would say this has been been one of the best survey site for me. They had some issues earlier but they have improved alot in recent days.I would recommand to check this out. Regina i will suggest you to reach out to them via chat support, they will definatly look in to your problem.
