The Univox Community is a market research website which provides its panel members with rewards in exchange for giving their “thoughts and perspectives about the products and services of the future.”
The Univox Community is open to members from over 150 different companies all around the world and on six different continents. They don’t list age restrictions, instead saying that they are looking for as many diverse opinions as possible.
According to their website, becoming a member is free and all you have to do is provide them with basic profile details like age, gender, and education background and you’ll get your active account along with a 500 point sign up bonus.
How It Works
After you successfully sign up and complete your profile, you’ll begin receiving survey invitations for products and services which match your demographic. The surveys will vary in length, usually between 10 and 15 minutes, sometimes longer.
The estimated length of the survey will be given to you up front before you agree to take the survey, and longer surveys will result in more points.
Univox Community does not pay their members cash. Instead they “reward” them with points, with 100 points being equal to one dollar. When you reach 2,500 points, you can cash out your account with a $25.00 Amazon gift certificate.
Is It Legit?
Well, in addition to being free to sign up and having a fair minimum level of compensation and payout, Univox Community also promises that they will never sell your personal information to advertisers or marketers and that you will never receive sales promotions of any kind.
They also promise that your points will never expire, and that if there is any reason you need to take a break from taking surveys your membership will never be canceled because of inactivity.
Finally, the website doesn’t mention any pressure to “complete offers” or “try products” which can often result in members paying out more money than they earn from taking the surveys.
All in all, as long as Univox Community does in fact honor their payouts under the conditions they describe, they appear to be a fair market research company, though you should always keep in mind that it takes a long time to earn money with market research.
