7 Ways to Make Money Online

Welcome to part two of “7 Ways to Make Money Online”. Glad you’ve made it this far! Here is our continued list of make money online opportunities…

#5 Get Paid to Write…

Writing is one of the easiest ways to make money online; with the massive growth of the internet there’s never been more demand on the internet for writers. Websites are always in need of new content and they’re happy to pay for it. The best way to find at-home writing work is to become a member at some of the many freelance websites and forums specializing in this type of work.

Not only can you find short term work, but if you do well and impress your employer a small gig can often turn into long term or even permanent employment.

Another option is to submit your content to websites that offer revenue-sharing opportunities. They will provide you with the platform to host your writing on, and in return for your work, they’ll split any ad revenue that your articles generate.

With the revenue sharing option you get more leeway in the kind of content you can write and will earn a percentage (approx. 40-50%) of the ad revenue that your articles generate.

As a traditional freelance writer, you’ll bid on jobs and get paid a predetermined amount for a specific amount of work. Click here for our complete list of Writing Job Websites.

#6 Micro Jobs…

Many companies are outsourcing simple tasks that, for one reason or another, can’t be done by a computer. These “micro jobs” can range from specialized tasks to basic actions that a computer simply can’t handle, such as appropriately labeling photographs for example.

There are many routes that you can take with this type of work. If you have a skill set for specific tasks such as web-design then you don’t have to focus on just the basic jobs. There have been many huge design projects that have been done through the use of the micro job model.

Due to their success, there are quite a few websites that offer this type of work. Everything from answering a question to submitting a design, or to helping name a new product or website.

#7 Get Paid to Take Stock Photos…

You can make money selling simple everyday photos. You don’t have to be an artist or an expert photographer to make this work. People need stock photos for their blogs, websites, presentations, and much more. Often times it’s the most basic things that they’re looking for. When someone purchases your photo you get paid a commission, it’s as simple as that.

Here’s a list of sites where you can get started: Fotolia.com, ShutterStock, and iStockphoto.

Average Rating for " 7 Ways to Make Money Online " is 4.56 out of 5 based on 78 reviews.
  • Thanks for this information. I will try out some of the ideas! Very well written and easy to understand.
  • The Poor rating is for the survey information, if you want to make decent money stay away from surveys, I have been trying them for 3 months and have found that most of them will say (after you answer all their questions) that you do not qualify or the survey is over, they never say it up front until they get what they want from you. Get a job spinning a sign on a street corner, it pays better.
    • I have been earning well with eRewards by answering surveys. I use my balance to buy emiles, another reward site, which I then use to buy miles on my United Airlines account toward an eventually free plane ticket. It takes me about two or three years to earn enough for the free ticket. You can also redeem eRewards for gift cards, etc.
  • Very informative and a great help for someone looking for alternative ways to earn. I might try creating stock photos. Thank you.
  • Thanks for your reviews. I was looking for vindale info as I always research before joining. So based on your info, I'm not joining vindale.

I am already doing swagbucks and instagc surveys. Their pay is within a week to 14 business days. But I could make only $25 to $75 per month. To make more you have to spend a lot of time for it say 7 hrs a day. I only spend 2-3 hrs.

Hope this helps others. References can help you earn more.
  • Glad I researched a little deeper, I was on the verge of paying 97 dollars to the Online Profit Stream company.

    This is a big help.
  • Thanks for all this info! I wish I had seen this before I tried surveys. Vindale keeps offering, then once there it tells me I do not qualify for that survey, so on to the next....same thing over and over. I spend an hour to make less than $3. I gave up after the 10th time! I am unemployed right now and needed this info. Thanks so much....off to try writing, taking photo's and maybe some other survey sites!
    • FYI to others considering Vindale.

You have to be a US citizen and resident to qualify.Permanent residency does not qualify you
  • Thank you so much. I have been struggling trying to find something on line for a job. I am a single mom of 7 year old twins. I have no family and getting a regular job to drive to and turning my whole paycheck over to a sitter is not an option. I need something that i can have the kids with me. I lost my job because of being pregnant and shortly after having the babies, my mom got very sick. So i found myself taking care of two newborns and a sick mom. Three years later she died. Because i am 50 I am unemployable because of my three years+ of no work in my field. I have been desperately seeking online work and going crazy checking out any companies to see if they are scams. This has helped me clear the air and help me to make a good decision in finding the right site for a job and opened up new possiblities. Thank you.

  • As a retired person, the only amount I need to be in good shape is about $200....a month. With your up-to-date suggestions, I should have no trouble. Again, thank you.
  • These responses are very helpful and informative. I am retired and have been looking for a way to supplement my income and thought an online opportunity would fit my lifestyle perfectly. I like doing research on different subjects (which led me to reviewopedia.com), such as American Writers & Artists, Inc (avoid), so if anyone knows of a site that would pay for an online researcher, please let me know. I am at [email protected]. Thanks.
