Apprentice Academy Online is a new work at home opportunity promoted by spokeswomen Kristi Frank and Jane Simmons, who promise that they’re offering an “easy, proven, guaranteed” way to make money online.
Kristi Frank is described by the website as business woman with 26 years of experience as a strategist, financial advisor, and motivational speaker. She is also an author and appeared as a contestant on the first season of Donald Trump’s “The Apprentice.”
Jane Simmons is the work at home mom behind the Apprentice Academy Online, which is a training course for link posting. Signing up for the course costs $97, and the website claims that they are “almost sold out” of memberships.
The Opportunity
Link posting is a form of affiliate marketing, which requires you to partner with other businesses and advertise their goods or services for them through the act of posting links online.
Affiliate marketing is a well known and respected way of earning money online. Apprentice Academy Online says their training program is a series of step-by-step videos which will show you exactly what to do.
Once you have finished watching their training videos, you can “immediately” begin posting links and earning money. According to the website, the companies you partner with will often pay you the same day you post the link; others will pay the same week.
The Warning Signs
As is commonly the case with affiliate marketing training programs, Apprentice Academy Online misrepresents the opportunity they are offering. They reference “being paid to post links” when in reality you simply earn a commission when a sale is made because of a link you posted.
They also claim that you can earn $50,400 a year just by working one hour a day, five days a week. This is an unrealistic earnings claim. While there are people working in affiliate marketing who make good money with short hours, they didn’t immediately start that way.
Affiliate marketing is a business like all others and requires time, effort, and hard work to be successful. You won’t watch a video and immediately be able to earn $50,000+ with just five hours of work a week.
The good news is that there are many free resources all over the internet to explain affiliate marketing and the steps you would need to take to be successful in this field. You can look at the free information before you decide whether or not to invest your money in a training program.
