Davison Inventions (www.InventionConcept.com) is a company that claims to take people’s ideas of new inventions, and turn them into reality. Davison says that it will take your idea through all the steps necessary to get your invention onto the market, from research and development to licensing to getting it onto the shelves.
Davison’s website claims that you have the ability to submit your idea to them knowing that you have full confidentiality and protection. Once your idea is submitted, you will receive a one on one consultation about the viability of your idea, and whether or not you should begin the process to take your idea further.
Davison claims to have a variety of agreements available for potential clients. Some services they offer will require you to pay one time, up front fees, while others will require you to commit to an agreement where Davison receives a percentage of royalties from your invention.
From Dream to Reality
“Build a better mousetrap, and the world will beat a path to your door.” From the time that man created fire, there has been an innate desire to come up with better ways of doing things. If you take a minute to look around you, at the things we take for granted every day, you’ll see the evidence of people’s invention dreams that came to life.
But, unlike the picture painted in Hollywood films, most of these inventions weren’t created in someone’s basement and then magically appeared on the market. Inventions must go through an intense process of research and development – is it truly an original invention? Is there someone else out there with a comparable idea or existing product? Is this invention already in the works?
At times an idea must be patented, which can be an expensive and complicated process. After that, an invention must often be licensed to another company or corporation to produce and distribute, because individuals usually lack the money necessary to fund the actual supply of product needed for the market.
Davison Inventions claims to help you through this long, arduous process, and to get your invention on the shelves of major retailers like Target, WalMart, Home Depot, and others.
Davison Inventions Success Stories?
Well, the truth is that when you research Davison Inventions, you are going to hear much more about heartbreak and failure than you will about success stories. In fact, Davison was ordered to pay $26 million in restitution to former clients after they were sued by the Federal Trade Commission and lost.
The lawsuit determined that clients of Davison would often pay upwards of $10,000 toward costs and services, and that less than 1% of their clients ever saw a return higher than what they invested with Davison.
In addition, they were told to stop promoting themselves as being linked to major retailers. However, if you look at their current website it seems fairly obvious that they are walking a fine line in adhering to this court order.
Their landing page is covered in logos from major retailers, with information offering that inventions processed through Davison are sold at all of these stores. While there is no official statement saying they have a relationship with these companies, the implication is still there.
Finally, the lawsuit ordered that Davison refrain from acting as though their services are selective, since they were found to take anyone’s idea through the research and development process as long as they paid the fees. This is a bad sign for those looking to process an invention, because it means that you can’t trust Davison’s evaluation of your invention’s potential. If they are simply willing to take everyone’s money who comes to them, it’s easy to see how 99+% of their customers never saw a profit from their dealings with Davison.
Hi my name is Paul, I too contacted these dirty little rats, I do not understand dishonesty in adults and cannot believe people could do this. We teach children not to lie and cheat as youngsters but obviously some choose to ignore a simple human feeling. I have only had one phone call and it seemed so genuine, but the guy I was talking to was jack Arata or what ever he chooses to call himself. It struck me as odd when I was asked to pay a small sum for the work that was involved into taking my idea to market ,plus their seemed to be irregularities in the contract. I believe after a little research that unfortunately this scam is very BIG and will even incorporate a lot of the so called professionals in the state of Pennsylvania and the so called federal trade commision. I believe that the officials and courts have unfortunately been bought as any arbitrary disputes have to be resolved in that particular state(very odd). I estimate we are talking about huge sums of hard earned money , but the system of life is not designed for you to be successful but to serve the 1%. I agree these people should be sued but they will probably end taking you through the courts and dissolving your remaining wealth. I am British so I can say to myself, learn by your mistakes and tough upper lip. I would also like to tell you of other other atrocities in our society but in my opinion ignorance is bliss.
If you really believe in your product, there are alot of investors that will fund your idea/business for a percentage. Not sure where you are from but theres a TV show in the UK called "Dragons Den" and same in Australia where I reside called "The Shark Tank" - these 2 shows are what you need to get yourself infront of. They are self renowned millionaires who you can ask $ from if they believe your idea is great and in exchange, they own a % of your company.
I contacted Davison and received a call from them this morning actually asking me give my idea plus sign their agreement - b4 I did that, God came to me! I googled reviews of Davison and I thank god i didnt give out info to them.
If you truly believe ur idea works and will be needed, then source out to outside investors.
Good Luck with it all.

I will also join. I recently came up with an invention about 3 weeks ago and is paid 100.00 bucks towards the 795.00 . But after reading everyones review I will not move forward with Davison. Please reach me at [email protected] so we can get this started.
I want to join in on the lawsuit. Let's protest at inventionland with everyone that was taken by Davison. The more the better. We need to have a meeting and take them down. If Enron business was taken down Inventionland can be too. Nothing but Dreamsellers. I will be making a Youtube video soon with the old school song "Backstabbers" I'm great with powerpoint and can add animations to it to make this video stand out to get everyone's attention.
But something I always wished I could tell people: I'd get out while you still can before you give them your credit card numbers because, like everyone else on here said, you won't get much for your money. They'll explain the first cost, $795, but will avoid telling you about any future costs.
As far as telling them your idea, they won't steal it if that's what you're worried about. They don't do anything with these ideas once someone decides to stop working with them. Most likely your phone number and name of your idea will just get recycled and turned over to a different "Director of New Products" in a few weeks or months and they'll call you trying to give you the same sales pitch. "Hi, this is John Doe calling from Davison. We received your product idea for XYZ and are I'm really interested in setting aside some time to talk about it." They'll set up a phone call, ask you about your idea, "brainstorming" they liked to call it. Then they pressure you to sign a contract and start paying.
