Home Wealth Formula

Home Wealth Formula, by Mark Starr, is a new work at home business promoting a link posting opportunity. According to their site, you will be paid an average of $15 per link you post for a major corporation. Their math shows that you can earn almost $60,000 a year posting links for just one hour a day.

Unfortunately, this is incredibly misleading. Home Wealth Formula has purposefully left out many of the details involved in link posting to make it seem like an easier, more profitable opportunity.

Link posting is actually a form of affiliate marketing. You are posting links for other companies, however, you must pay to post these links. And after you have paid money to post these links, you will only be paid after someone not only clicks the link, but the purchases the product that link is promoting.

So, not only do you not get paid to post a link (but rather earn a commission when a product is purchased) you also must pay your own money to post that link.  This means you actually have a chance to lose money on this opportunity, which is not mentioned anywhere on the Home Wealth Formula website.

Link Posting Certification

Over the past six months to a year, the “link posting certification” class has become one of the biggest markers of a scam.  First of all, you need no certification to post links.  Anyone can do it at any time, and all they have to do is join up with Google AdWords.  In fact, the Google AdWords program will give you pretty much all the knowledge you need to use their program for free.

In addition, link posting has been around so long and is such a cornerstone of affiliate marketing at this point, you can head to almost any online forum searching for info on link posting and likely find much more sophisticated and helpful information from real world affiliate marketers then you will find in this “link posting certification” class.

Second, every company claims that they have “the only certified program in the world,” when, in fact, tons of companies are offering this worthless certification.  These companies have to find a reason to make you pay them for information that you could easily find for free, so they have created this program. Fortunately for us, this program has become a clear sign that potential customers should just walk away.

Other Red Flags

Another red flag against Home Wealth Formula is that the website is being advertised by a multitude of fake news sites. Fake news sites are promotional advertisements made to look like online newspapers.  This is intended to trick people into believing that advertising claims and slogans should be taken as fact. Companies that entice customers through the use of fake news sites are nearly always scams.

Yet another red flag for Home Wealth Formula is that their payment page security verification tags are simply photos, cut and pasted from another website.  If they were legitimate, they would act as links taking you to another page which explained the security verification process.

  • Don't do it, this is a scam!
  • Can't believe I fell for this too and went against my better judgment and signed up for this! I too had received the link from a friend who I later found out did not send the email. Very quickly came to my senses and did some research and came across this website. Thank you all for your comments and advice. Just to say I rang the number on my statement and asked for a full refund based on the 60 day full refund guarantee as I no longer felt it was suitable fro me to continue with the program. I was given another customer services number 00-1-866-999-2912 (call after 7pm from the UK due to time difference and its cheaper too and have your order ID number to hand) where the lady asked if I would like the membership at half price! I declined obviously and she cancelled the membership there and then. I received a confirmation of cancellation e mail within 2 hours and have just received a full refund back into my account 5 days later. I guess you learn by your mistakes and by reading websites like this one!
    • even if you dont sign up for em... just go to the actual sign up page and try to change the site to a diff page... you will get a pop up window that tells you are you sure blah blah blah then they reduce the 97$ fee down to 77$ then if you do it once again they reduce it again from 77$ to 47$ hahaha... so yep this is a pretty big scam
    • yes thanks duped. I was offered 50% too and refused. Apparently my money will be in my account within 5-7 days.

      Thanks again.
    • Thank you so much duped, from duped too. Thanks for posting that phone number. If I see that credit, I'll feel very lucky!
  • This website is a total scam!! My mother sent 100 dollars to Greg (She did not read the reviews first) because an email was sent to her about it, but when she called the sender she said that she never sent the email!! My mother told me and I told her to always research before sending ANY money to an internet organization that you have not used before. So we looked up reviews, and now she knows why. She gave Greg her credit card number, and now she is terrified that he will do something and spend her money! This entire organization is a gigantic scam and no one should EVER use this site unless they want to LOSE money!!!!!!
    • I fell victim to this scam last year. I paid with a credit/debit card. I was not sent information to the links like they promised. I was sent something else. I complained to my bank, canceled the card and had it replaced. My bank got a refund for me.
  • Home wealth formula is a scam. I almost got suckered in untill I called family member that sent email he didn't know anything about it. Thanks for your reviews a big help also.
  • you hacked into my email and send this scam email to all my contacts including old contacts that had been deleted!!!!!! If I find out how to contact you I will take legal action!!!
  • I just thank you for explaining all the details, I almost got trapped. I could lose my money that I worked hard for.
  • I was about to sign up for this opportunity because I could use the money, especially with X-mas around the corner. The last time I came across it, I didn't have the funds. They kept reducing the price every time I tried to get off the site. I recently received an email forwarded from a family member, and thought it may just be legit.I read some of the reviews on their site, which were all in their favor. I thought it to be suspicious, so I Googled it for more information. Whala! I'm here. I am so glad I researched it before I bought into it. I was hoping this would be the real thing, but I am grateful for all the warnings I found here. I thank God and all of you for sharing your experiences here. Pay attention to the warnings going off in your head when you come across things like this. It's true when people say "if it sounds too good to be true,it probably is."
  • Hi I just received this email stating how good this opportunity was and any one with a computer can make $350 a day for 60 minuets work a day. It stank of a scam, so I Googled "Online Income Solution" Then I got several listings showing that this was a SCAM, your site is great for listings these SCAM's. After reading a few of the complaints it was obvious that this Online Income Solution was another internet SCAM.

Thank you and keep up the great work.

  • Hello all--well since this was sent from a friend, I decided to try it out even though it has SCAM written all over it. I initially got overcharged (97 instead of 50). Then when I proceeded anyway, they wanted $15 to build your website and then it says they bill you every 24 mos for the monthly web site fee. Well it's very misleading that they don't tell you when you submit they will charge this monthly fee up front so the total ends up being over $200! They don't even have a page to confirm the amount before you submit your payment! Total scam. Anyway I called the 800 number and it was supposedly easy enough to get my money back (the 97). Since I used a difft card for the $200 that might be more of a headache but I contacted the web site company and they said all would be refunded minus the $15 fee for website which is ridiculous. So hopefully only out $15 for my stupidity. We shall see.
    • hi,d i've done this week just what you have done, and sent email to

cancel but it did'nt go thru, the money was taken out of my account

just as you said pounds not dollars a total of £128:96, the bank have

put this back pending inquiries, what was the full phone number you

      used please,from [email protected]
  • I got sucked into this scam. I made a purchase and there is absolutely no one available to help you get started. You can speak to a start up specialist, but all they want to know is what kind of credit you have, how much you owe and who do you owe to. Why is it their business anyway. DO NOT BUY INTO HOME WEALTH FORMULA
