Online Career Journal

The Online Career Journal is a fake news website template used to promote a host of make money online opportunities. This site uses many deceptive tricks and sales tactics to convince unsuspecting customers to click through and purchase their recommended programs.

For starters the site is designed to mimic a real online news site like CNN or MSNBC, however if you actually take the time to explore it you’ll quickly realize that it’s nothing more than a one page advertorial.

There are no news stories, none of the links in the navigation work, and the “comments” section is completely fabricated. On top of that they use an IP reading script to customize the title of the article to fit your geographic location.

This is a very effective sales technique as the article profiles a young woman who’s making a fortune using their work at home kit. This sense of familiarity helps people believe that if someone from their town is doing it then they can too.

This template is very effective and for that reason it’s constantly being recycled and only slightly altered. In this case the title of the site is the online career journal found at www.careeronline.biz, but there are hundreds of different variation floating around under different names and urls.

So who is Melissa Johnson?

Again this is another fabrication that these marketers have come up with. Her story is not real and the name used changes just as often as the site itself. Melissa Johnson is not a real person and you should not fall for her “success” story.

The danger with these fake news sites is that they are constantly changing and promoting various dubious offers. They’re so easy to put together that it makes no sense for the owners to keep them around longer then they need to.

In this case the Online Career Journal is promoting some program called Online Home Careers. You can rest assured that as soon as this one stops making them money or generates enough bad press they’ll simply move on to the next hot get rich quick scheme.

The best thing that you can do to protect yourself is to stay away any product that is promoted through these deceptive measures. If the product was legitimate and produced honest results then they wouldn’t have to go through all the tricks to sell it.

  • please check the picture of checks in all sites you will see all check numbers and the dates are the same. and i found out that the pictures of Symin Madani and Sarah Salah are the same i mean one picture for both . thank you ?
  • Thank you for the eye opening article. I also sensed something fishy in their advertorial page and that is why I turned to your online career review. Inter alia, I noticed that they are extending the last day every day. Day before it was 19, yesterday it was 20 and today they say 21 Nov. as the last day to avail of the opportunity.
  • Thanks for this , i was trying to register today but before that i read this all scams mail ..you can also search Google more for this scams site many have filled the form and are regretting now...
  • The website hijacks your browser.

Online Career Journal is a good way to get a bad virus on your PC.

I blocked the site on my browser.
  • I had encountered these kind of things before and to be honest I believed them for awhile because they looked somehow different (claiming that they already know about scams, trying to persuade you that because they know about scams and the scams are not real, they are not the same; or there were posted comments where alleged names and surnames of people were mentioned)

BUT the first thing that is suspicious is that they want you to make order immediately because this day is the last day when, as they say, 100 % guarantee of satisfaction ends

And the second thing that is suspicious is that after all the comments of people that reportedly already ordered that manual and are making big money now there was a comment "I have read all of the comments, so I´ll made an order now" (such a coincidence :D), really a great way of psychic pressure

    NEVER BELIEVE SUCH THINGS!!!

(The next step I did was put to Google the title of their site and the word "scam" and I found this site)
  • Guys, come on!!!!! this is BS!!! Totally a scam. I live in Chisinau, in Moldova - and we don't have such people as Melissa Johnson or Penny Stocks!!! we never heard about them. stay away from Career Journal Online!!! just follow this advice and you and your money will be saved.

  • Not sure what the "rating" was for: this exposé -5 stars! I, too, was unable to click on any of the top tabs. Also, couldn't get anywhere with the "contact us" link either. They're very cunning to say the least. These scams really should be illegal! I'm so thankful for your site! It saves many!!! If only you could reach more :) thanks for all your effort though. I, for one, am truly grateful. Is there a site where one can list the offending/scam information? I would definitely place all info possible regarding this scam. There are many more, too, which should be made as public as possible to, hopefully, stop some unsuspecting people from getting ripped off. I thought those emails from Africa were bad!! But, this one really is worse, because of how legitimate the fake web site looks. Unfortunately, there are more & more scammers on the net every day. They make quite a good living for themselves too :(
  • Im about to try this but i'm thinking if this one is really true...so i decided to search for it first till i read your review...thanx..
  • thank you, it's great to have this site to expose whats fake.
