Vindale Research is an online market research company that allows it’s members to earn extra cash in a variety of ways. These days consumer data is a massive business with both large and small firms paying top dollar for any information that could give them a competitive edge.

Online Survey companies provide a massive database for these companies to mine from. They build up these databases by providing their members with a variety of perks or cash payouts for each survey they complete.

In this seeming win-win-win situation Vindale research gets paid for sorting and maintaining a massive database of shoppers, you can earn extra money in exchange for sharing your demographics and spending preferences, and the company funding the research can improve their product through feedback.

How Does Vindale Research Work?

After you sign-up for Vindale you will have to fill out information about yourself, this let’s the company categorize you and serve you with the best fitted surveys.

Vindale claims to have the highest paying surveys in the industry along with a large frequency of surveys. They are also leading the way in tech by allowing you to participate in surveys on a variety of devices.

If you do get selected for a survey and successfully complete it you will be able to claim your cash reward through either a check or Paypal.

Vindale also makes a big distinction between them and their competitors by stipulating that their surveys are worth real cash. Many survey companies compensate their users with points that can later be redeemed for cash or prizes.

In many cases this can turn into an exploitative situation where the company may change the requirements needed to cash out or users simply give up because of the shear amount of points necessary to reach the payout level.

However Vindale claims to have a simple to use payout center where you can earn real money quickly and easily.

Their surveys cover a wide variety of topics including everything from vehicles to health & beauty products.

Ways to Earn?

In addition to participating in paid online surveys Vindale Research lets you earn through additional avenues.

You can get paid for:

  • Referring a Friend
  • Finding reward codes through their community blog
  • Submitting photos of your payments
  • Reading emails
  • Watching advertisements

Through all these different methods Vindale claims to have paid out over 5 million dollars in cash.

Keep in mind that by opening up yourself to these additional streams you will be subject to offers and ads that will be pitching you products that cost money.

Customer Service:

If you have any issues with your account, getting credited for surveys, or problems with payments you can reach someone at 1-855-VINDALE (846-3253) or by email at [email protected]. If you have technical issues you can also submit a support ticket through their website.

Keep in mind that you are only eligible for payouts once you have accumulated $50 in your account and payments may take up to 3 weeks to process.

Online Reviews/Complaints:

A lot of survey sites generate many complaints for a variety of reasons. Some of the most common are a lack of surveys, not being able to reach payout, or not qualifying for surveys.

In many cases these may be legitimate gripes and in others people are expecting too much from this opportunity. Remember doing online surveys is a fun way to make a little bit of money in your spare time – it should not be looked at as an income stream.

Often times companies are looking for a very narrow range of people to participate in their studies. These demands can get very specific; ie customers who buy product A 2-3 times per week, have never used product B and have seen an ad for product C.

Survey companies then send out generic questionnaires to their users to see if they can provide people who qualify for the study. This means many times you will not qualify for the survey even though you answered some preliminary questions.

Competitors and Alternatives:

If you are interested in surveys there are a variety of online survey companies for you to check out. Some other big names include Swagbucks and MySurvey.

You can also look into finding local marketing companies that run focus groups. These are generally more involved but end up paying much better.

  • you guys are funny it seems like anyone who asks for your credit card info is a scam i do agree that some are but vindale is not a scam just couse you say it is and i have used vindale for over a year and you do have to make sure u get the comany phone nummber and trial end date so you dont get charged is takes some time but it is free money other wise just read the terms of service as you would with anything u put your crit info in and u will be fine
  • I JUST DON'T KNOW ABOUT VINDALE, I HAVE DONE SURVEYS A WHILE BACK AND NEVER GOT PAID IT, I HAVE DONE SURGERYS THIS TIME, I THINK IT A SCAM,
  • i think they liars and they just get your information to give to other scams.
  • Vindale is legit. I have been paid for everything that I correctly followed the instructions for. Yes, most of the time you have to sign up for a trial period for some service, or product. And yes, you have to pay attention to cancellation periods or you will be charged big bucks in most cases. But all of that is stated pretty clearly up front by Vindale. They tell you if there is a credit card required and they tell you exactly what the product acquisition fees are, so you can see what your net payment will be. After that, it's up to you to pay attention to cancellation policies, which you should look at before you sign up. These guys are the most honest company I've seen in this line of business. Most of the rest are not nearly so complete in the information they provide.
  • I have done surveys for Vindale for about six months. I have received payment for my services. Most of the problems about surveys if keeping track of cancellation dates for companies you do surveys on. I also find that some companies make it almost impossible to find a number to call to cancel. Some of the companies pass your credit card number on to other people who make charges you don't expect. One company took $129 from my credit card for a web site. This was unexpected. Vindale is a good company. The greatest complaint I have is the lack of communication. Companies also take far too long to verify your survey. People should be sure they keep the work Vindale does separate from the companies they survey. The problem is these companies - not Vindale. for. Vindale tells you up front that they will reimburse you for money you spend on the survey, and the reimbursement is included in the pay they give you for the survey.
  • Is it possible to give a rating of less than one star. They cost me a fortune on my credit card for monthly charges on programs I never knew I was signing up for and I never got paid a penny.
  • Hi, this is Vindale Support. We would like to encourage everyone that we are indeed a legitimate company and have made pay outs to many of our members. If there are any inquiries we can help anyone with please feel free to email us at: [email protected] or view our FAQ's http://vindale.com/v/faq.jsp We will be more then happy to answer your questions.
  • To date I have been paid over $100 - when I signed up - the process was explained to me that part of the amount they pay me is the reimbursement for the charges - and for everything I have taken - you have the option to take it and you can find the cancellation policy.
  • I was wary as soon as I could not log in and had have them send me the password. It was completely different from what I had put down. The first survey I was going to take offered 14 dollars. But-- one of the first questions they asked was if I had a credit card. The company I was to evaluate was a DVD rental for which I had to sign up at $9.99. The 14 dollars I was to earn was whittled down to $4.01-----Bye-bye!!! You don't have a rating low enough to suit me.
  • Vindale Research Scam...I must say that it is a scam. Credit card required? Warning sign. After signing with Vindale, I received via USPS a cashiers check with instructions to cash it, send most of it back, etc.. You know the story. Vindale is a hoax, a scam, an attempt to steal your money. FCC should investigate and put them out of business.
