Home-Online-Jobs Reviews – Legit or Scam?

Home Online JobsHome-Online-Jobs.org is a website run by Michelle Mathews, a self proclaimed number one work at home specialist, that offers a certification program to train you how to make money by posting links for companies.

Mathews makes many claims about her program and the job opportunity that it trains you to be a part of.  For a one time fee of $49.95, Home Online Jobs claims that you can quickly be making up to $225 an hour, working from home, on your own schedule.

Mathews comes to this earning figure by saying that it takes 4 minutes to post a link, and since you earn an average of $15 per link, that turns out to be $225 an hour.  She also claims that anyone can earn this money, regardless of experience or background.

So is Home Online Jobs a Scam?

Oh, where to begin?  First of all, there is no such thing as being paid to post links.  This is a scam that swept the internet in 2009, and here it is, rearing its ugly head again.

The truth of the link posting job is that it is a form of affiliate marketing.  You post a link advertisement for another company, and when someone clicks on that link and purchases a product, you earn a commission from that sale.  This means you get paid only when someone purchases a product, not when you post a link.

Second, while you may not need particular experience or background to post links, you do need money.  Every time someone clicks on your link, you must pay a fee.  This means that you might not only not make money, but there’s a good chance you could lose a good deal of money on this opportunity.

Finally, Michelle Mathews says that she is a well respected work at home expert, when the reality is that a basic internet search brings up exactly zero stories or mentions of her within this capacity.  In addition, there have been reports from people who say that once they gave Mathews their $49.95, they received nothing in return, and received no answers from multiple emails sent.

If you have signed up for Mathews certification training, they are a Clickbank product, which means you have 60 days from the date of purchase for a no questions asked refund.  If you wish to cancel, contact Clickbank if you are still eligible for a refund.

  • Thank you so much for your review. Unfortunately I did my homework after I purchased the Official Home Income system on Oct. 31/11. My own fault. I know better and usually do my research, but let my guard down when I saw that it was backed by several news networks. Intersting though... the info that I received said the woman's name is Barbara McCain (not Michelle Mathews)and they are now using Safe Cart rather than Click Bank. I spoke with Safe Cart and was told that the company handles their own refunds and has a 30 day refund policy. I was told to contact Official Home Income at [email protected] and tell them I am not satisfied with their product and want my money back.

Safe Cart told me they have 48 hours to respond and if I don't hear back from them I am to contact Safe Cart to let them know. Sent my refund request to them today, so will keep my fingers crossed but won't be surprised if I never see my money again. It's very sad that there are so many dishonest people in the world ready to take advantage of someone eleses honesty and trust. I work out of my home as a Massage Therapist and was just looking for something to supplement my income so I can continue to stay at home with my daughter. Thank you for posts like this that help protect innocent people from being scammed. I will be sure to share my experience in hopes that it will help others as well. Peace, Love & Happiness!
    • I contacted my lawyer and he told me due to the fact I accepted their refund policy, I was not entitled to a refund.

    • Try closing the page and the discounts keep increasing! During the second attempt to close the page it gave a discount of 70$ (36.95$)

This in itself gives way that this is a marketing scam. But am wondering how she is able to get advertisement slots on major television brands!

      DONT FALL FOR IT!!!!
  • YOU MUST READ THE FINE PRINT. They basically said you will not make money.

As an advertorial, I UNDERSTAND THIS WEBSITE IS ONLY ILLUSTRATIVE OF WHAT MIGHT BE ACHIEVABLE FROM USING THIS PROGRAM, AND THAT THE STORY DEPICTED ABOVE IS NOT TO BE TAKEN LITERALLY. This page receives compensation for clicks on or purchase of products featured on this site. This program is not a job but an educational opportunity that can help individuals learn how to earn money through their entrepreneurial efforts. Anyone who decides to buy any program about making money will not necessarily make money simply by purchasing the program. People who think "I bought these materials so I'm going to automatically make money" are wrong. As any type of education has so many variables, it is impossible to accurately state what you may expect to achieve, however, people who bought the program not only bought the program, but also undertook additional training and education, applied the principles to an area of the market that was growing, kept their commitments and continued to learn. If you do what the individuals depicted did, you may generally expect to achieve a great education in the area of your choice, but you should not expect to earn any specific amount of money. Typical users of the starter materials that don't enroll in coaching, don't keep their commitments and don't implement what they learn, generally make no money. Though the success of the depicted individual is true, her picture and name have been changed to protect her identity. Consistent with the advertorial concept, the comments posted in the comment section are also representative of typical comments and experiences which have been compiled into a comment format to illustrate a dialogue, however, the comments are not actual posts to this webpage and have been compiled or generated for illustrative purposes only.
    • I thought it was funny how they state at the bottom of the disclaimer that the comments from users are made up using big words.

  • Any offer that makes the viewer feel hurried or anxious is trying to make you spend money before thinking about it. I was sent a link to homeonlinejobs by a my career adviser. This job was posted on careerbuilder.com as if it were truly a legitimate job opportunity. After viewing the web page it sounded to good to be true, so I checked it out. THANK GOD I DID!!! Go with your gut folks!!! If it is sounds to good to be true it probably is.
  • I read all about this "opportunity" and I admit it sounded like a dream come true. That is until I called my sister, who I had believed sent me the link. She informed me that her email account had been hacked. I think it's enough said that it came to me via a complete stranger who acted as if we knew each other and is obviously a their of sorts. Go with your gut and always do your homework! I got lucky and didn't give a dime of my hard earned money away.
  • How did you guys contact Clickbank because I don't see a number or email or any other line of communication
  • A couple weeks ago my friend sent me the info. I was ready to sign up, but my other friend said to just put in my name & email adrs. & leave the site. She said they would then give me a better offer than $97.00. So, no money changed hands that first day. Four days later I went back to the web address, intending to sign up, but all I saw was a truck driving school - no job offer. Today I found the offer when looking at internet offers and was ready to sign up. Then, I decided to check Michelle's name on ask.com. HORRORS!!! Thanks for all your help here. The Lord stopped me also. PRAISE HIM!
