  • I received an e-mail this morning from Credit Updates 360 saying "There's a 30 day delinquency added to your credit report recently." It states I can obtain my credit report at No Cost by visiting a site on the e-mail link. Upon pressing the HERE button, I became linked to Profinity site. It prompts you to "click here" for your free report. I was skeptical because I have never had a 30-day delinquency notice in 30 years.

I have been a paying customer of Credit Report.com, which is supposed to notify me of any alerts. So, I went to my site, & as of today's date - there are no 30 day delinquencies alerts. I then visited all credit services I have & verified no delinquencies.

It appears to me Profinity is using a "scare tactic" in order to obtain customers.
  • There is nothing wrong with the USA. “American workers are the best workers in the world” -- those are some of the truest words ever written. But why we call can’t get along and get behind this? This is amazing to me. Don’t we understand that this is the way our country is going? That people who we are paying to take our jobs away from us are now threating us with missiles? Shouldn’t we support our homegrown companies? I say yes.
    • Wow this is the worst review I've ever seen. "Yeah they're a terrible company, but we should support them, because... America!"

      Nobody is falling for it.
  • Don't make a mistake using it. Company IS a scam. They charged me original $1, and then in just couple days there was another charge for a full month!! ON 03/22 - charge for March, when I WAS NOT a member and instead of 1 month free trial that was promised!!! And ANOTHER charge for a next month on April.. guess when? 04/07!!! I called them next day to cancel right away, on 04/08, and they refused to refund the money for April!! SO basically I got charged for 2 month within 2 weeks. How do you like it??? I don't have time and energy to fight over these charges, but I guess I should! Anyone is eligible for 1 free credit report per year, so instead of using these scam companies, just google FREE yearly credit report!
    • Typo: Meeant "would be best for me NOT to contest".
    • Absolutely a scam. I tried to sign up, but didn't get a confirmation email so I never was able to log onto the site. I thought I entered something wrong and the process didn't go through. Then I saw the first charge of 13.98 on my statement. I started trying to call, but could never get past the automated system.

By the time I finally did reach someone, they had already charged me a *second* time... for $14.98 (instead of $13.98) and only 15 days after the first charge. After dealing with "customer service" (Agent # 7430), I was finally transferred to someone to issue a refund. They'd only refund the second charge. I figured I'd just eat the first one and chalk it up to experience. Then the guy on the other end said something curious. He told me I'd have a refund within 3-5 business days, but it would be best for me to contest through the bank because it would delay the refund for up to 3 months.

Now I'm thinking I *should* contest it. I don't mind the delay, and this "company" shouldn't be able to get away with scamming the general public.
  • American workers are the best workers in the world. Why have we forgotten that as a country? American workers cost more because they are worth it. Mor companies need to see and understand this. Just because a company can save money by spending money overseas doesn't mean it should, and any company that sticks up for the rights of AMERICA, and hires AMERICAN workers is doing good. You should not be shocked that these American workers that answer these phones are good -- of course they are! I do my best every day to support companies that hire American workers (and it sure makes it hard to use a cell phone) and if this is a company that hires American workers and pay money that feeds American families then they have my support.
    • That’s right, Proud2B, you are so right you are correct. Why don’t people hire americans the way they used to is it because they are not making money off these Americans. Of course they are. They know they can make money from the work of American, and keep the money in the country, but why do they not do this I wonder?   Right now as a country we need to support companies that hire American workers and pay Americans money for their work. I took it upon myself to call this profinity company and ask them about their hiring and it is true, all the people who work in their customer service are Americans and proud of it to. She said he would not tell me exactly what state she was in, but I asked her question that only an American would know (I felt like I was back in those old WWII movies) and she answered them all and she thought the questions were funny too and that’s pretty American too.   So I, too, support hiring in the USA of USA workers and keeping our money on these shores. Are you kidding about sending jobs overseas? We want to help our economy. We want to support things that are made and done in the USA and so I say.
  • not a bad company. people do sign up in error though alot. they are actually a good credit monitoring service the more you use it the better it works for you. it has lots of valuable benefits. i just cant afford it.
  • I spoke with an American lady who work in their call center and she was great too and we should all be supporting people who work in the US. I lost a job because people buy stuff made in china just cuz is cheeper but it ain't better and people should get behinhd peple work are US workers and people who hire US workers because they could hire people overseas if they want but they dont. God Bless America.
  • I called them and their customer service was excellent. That is vry hard to find I think. I can only speak about the person on the call -- that is a hard job and the woman I spoke to there did it really well and she earned my respect.
  • i tried to sign up on fri, my card was declined so i thought nothing of it..until mon when i see $1 on my online bank statements i called 1-855-331-9531 - thats the # to call! they told me my acct was still declined even though they had my $1 and i would only have the 7-day trial until this friday - even though my card wasnt charged until today, and is still declined on their end - i cancelled and am heading to my bank now to block them.
  • I happen to work at a call center that services profinity calls. The company is a scam in every possible way. While they may not sell or steal your information, they will charge your card as much as possible and make it basically impossible to cancel the account (we here in the call center cannot cancel accounts, only the billing department can do it. Please, don't give this company your information, they are as close as you can get to a scam while still being legal. If you can call it that.
    • Hi..

I saw your post,I was recently recruited for that same call center. With all the scams out there I am wondering whether I should consider taking it.I won't put the name of the company but it starts with a "C",what do you think?.I would be leaving a good company but they seem unable to give me many hours lately and quite frankly I need the money.
  • Scam, scam scam - i tried free trial and still cant get them to stop chargin after 6 weaks. i cancelled give me my money back
