The Profit Masters Academy is not a new business opportunity; in fact it is simply an updated version of a popular Biz Opp that has been around for quite some time. There are several different versions of this course floating around and all are regularly updated with new names, URLs, and spokespeople.

This current version is found at www.ProfitMastersAcademy.com with Angela Bussio as the featured spokeswoman. The most recent version was simply called Home Profit Masters, as you can clearly see this is just a slight variation on the old course.

There are many different reasons why the owners and marketers of these types of courses frequently rebrand their product and register fresh new sites. In most cases it’s simple economics, given the nature of the aggressive marketing strategies and hype used to promote these products it’s only natural that these make money online courses generate lots of negative feedback.

As more and more customer complaints and reviews are posted online the revenue from selling the course naturally begins to decrease. Hence the constant need for revamping the sites under different names. This process has been repeated dozens of times and many people sign-up for the course completely ignorant of this fact.

So what is the Profit Masters Academy All About?

When you read through the sales page you’ll be inundated with a lot of deceptive sales techniques. Much of what you’ll read on ProfitMastersAcademy.com is a hyped up version of the reality that they are really selling you.

You’ll read about how Angela Bussio taught Katie Smith how to make money online simply posting links online for hundreds of companies. There’s even a neat little table that claims you can make $375 a day just by posting 25 links.

This is simply not the case; no one is paying you to just post links online. This is a very deceptive way of describing internet marketing, the practice of advertising and promoting products online through the use of affiliate links.

This is a burgeoning industry that many people have never heard of, and thus are way more likely to believe the hyped version of what it is versus the truth.

So is Profit Masters Academy a Scam or for Real?

The truth is that nobody pays you just for placing a link; the way to make money in this industry is to learn how to be a middle man between customers and vendors. If you can drive lots of internet traffic directly to offers you can make a commission when someone makes a purchase – usually 20 to 50 percent of the sale price.

So the concept of internet marketing is in itself not a scam and there are many people making a good living doing it. However it is not easy and takes a lot of hard work and learning the ins and outs of eCommerce and online marketing tactics.

Profit Masters Academy will provide with a website and some products to promote, but they don’t tell you upfront the additional costs associated with maintain a website and subsequently marketing it on the web through pay per click advertising.

The bottom line is that while you can make money with some of the methods taught by this course, understand that the reality is not anywhere near to the get rich quick – no experience necessary attitude that they take on their sales page.

  • Run from this company!!!!! It's nothing but a ruse to get you to spend more and more money. The customer service people hang up on you.... I spoke with 3 separate men who all ranted at me and were totally verbally abusive. I have been trying to get them to refund my money for a week now and all they do is give me a run-around. THEY SURE TOOK MY MONEY WITHIN MINUTES FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT. I wrote them 3 letters and they continue to tell me that they're probably sitting on "someone's desk". Just a stall tactic hoping I will give up. They have almost $400 of my money. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau and they deserved it.

RUN DON'T WALK FROM THIS BUSINESS..... THEY'RE THE WORST.
  • Yep i am a sucker but hey in these hard times when you cannot find a job & the hubby hasnt worked in 2 years you get kinda desperate in hopes this is an opportunity to earn some cash.. Well i have had to learn the hard way... The words if it sounds too good to be true.. It is too good to be true!!! I like everyone else have been scammed & i intend to go into my bank branch tomorrow morn & they are willing to work with me to dispute the transaction because i have made several attempts to contact them about my refund due to the intense complications with the whole process in itself & i have gotten no response so my bank is going to work with me to get my money back... Love the way everytime you go to the profit masters site.. Even if you are a member already you go to leave the page & the price offer gets lower & lower each time.. I paid 77.00 & the next day it was like 29.00!!! All i can say is it is a shame that so many scammers out there with so many desp people looking for ways to earn $$. Its just a pathetic scam!!!
  • All I can say is SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • so if you have to pay to make money..why would you fall for this people...makes no sense, use your brain and your instincts...i find it interesting that they have someone that works in your town where you reside making 8,000 blah blah blah..the government should shut these people down...ASAP
  • well..i took the job on fri..called on mon to quit..they talked me into a simpler method..in one hour i called to quit again..they said my

$97 would be refunded..AND IT WAS..waiting to see if any extra charges show up..lotta double talk and e-commerce is NOT for the novice!!!
  • When I signed up I was told a one time fee of $37.95 would be the only charge and would be returned if I was not satisfied. I was fortunate, I received my $37.95 back without any hassle the day after I called and requested it. However, the same day I had a charge for $8.78. I called and was told by customer service that it was the monthly fee I agreed to as stated in the terms and conditions. They refused to credit that amount, but I will keep on trying.
    • Does the $8.78 show as partneredU along with another international charge of $.09. I had this happen to me this on and you right it is a scam and a shame that people have to do business this way.
  • The doubletalk is amazing, you can be discussing options and then be informed you are being charged $xxx. Affiliates such as finance, marketing, product identification and every thing else you can think of keep calling with new pitches to get you to donate more money to them. I have been lied to time and again with no end in sight. I am waiting for someone to bring a class action suit against these people. Honesty and ethics do not seem to be words in the corporate vocabulary.
  • Thanks to u all for the eye opening postings. Almost fell for it after they kept reducing the purchase price from $97 to $37. I am definitely not falling for this scam.
  • Unfortunately, I feel for this!! Paid $34 and was all set to start the postings like they said. Yeah right!! Never got a call from my supposed trainer despite calling the company several times. Now 2 mos after the fact (and I decided to just not do anything with it since I was told I couldn't get a refund) and now they start charging a monthly fee to my acct!! Are you kidding me. Just called and she said they would back the charge out and cancel this so nothing else will come out. Now I'm a little worried after reading a bunch of comments here.
    • I agree 100%. However, I got calls all the time during the first week (morning, day and night). Then nothing else. Tried to log-on the next day after ordering and they ask you to set-up up a merchant account and provide them with your credit card info. Was not going to do that. Then I keep being charged this monthly fee even after cancellation. Stated I could not get a refund; it is over 30 days. Now being informed that I canceled too late for the billing to go out. I just closed my credit card a few moments ago. Have to go to the extreme. CUSTOMER SERVICE STINKS. Was on hold for 30 minutes trying to get through and then want to put you on hold again and refused to put a supervisor on the phone.
  • Everyone please read the terms & conditions... That is where they post the additional cost & explain what the additional cost & memberships will be(Of which is a monthly fee for the membership, also not disclosed). I almost clicked the let's get started button, then I decided to read the terms & conditions(because it seemed to good to be true) & that is where I read the additional fees for add-ons & that it was for a website of which is not included on the hyped up sales pitch for the "posting links"! Then found this posting.. So glad I did!!
