Replace Your Day Job Reviews – Legit or Scam?

Replace Your Day JobReplace Your Day Job is a new website created by Natalie James aimed specifically at people looking to enter the work from home community.  Her website promises jobs working with major, multinational companies earning anywhere between $15-$75 an hour, either full or part time.

The sales page is primarily dedicated to Natalie’s experiences being unable to pay her bills or find reasonable work in this terrible economy, until she came across this very opportunity that she wants to share with you.

Ultimately ReplaceYourDayJob.com is just a portal website that will bring you to the Auction Listing Agent opportunity.  Auction Listing is not new – there are many websites out there who are already providing this same opportunity.

The way these websites work is that you will be charged anywhere from $47-$197 to be trained as an auction listing agent, then you must become a member of a drop shipping company for an added fee.  Then you list items for sale on eBay that you never have to buy, store, or ship, because that is taken care of by the drop ship company.

So is Replace Your Day Job a Scam?

Selling items on eBay and working with a drop shipping company are completely legitimate ways of making money.  The particular problem here is not the work that’s being done, but the way that Replace Your Day Job presents this work.

Replace Your Day Job treats you as if you are actually applying for a telecommuting work at home position.  They even make you fill out an application asking for your level of education.  This is purposefully misleading.  The truth is that working as an auction listing agent is completely independent employment – you are not being hired by anyone and you should not have to fill out an application.

Then, they don’t tell you until after you are “hired” that you must pay for training and that you must pay the drop ship company for their services. Depending on what kind of service you’ll require from the company, that could cost you anywhere from $39.95 to $249.95 a month.

Going along with their presentation that you are applying for a job, they also tell you that you will earn between $15-$75 an hour.  But the way you make money with auction listing is simply by selling the products for more than they cost at the drop ship company. There is no guaranteed rate of pay.

  • I requested a refund on December 1st, 2010. Still have not received it. At this point I am calling them every week, and am getting the run around about how far behind they are due to their processing matching breaking down. My refund is supposed to be $67. Where can I report these people to the authorities, this is ridiculous!
  • This is a scam I paid 67.00 plus 27.00 I have been waiting for a refund for 6 months when I called A few months back was told that It shows canceled in Nov 30 2010. When in fact I called and canceled months ago. I also got the run around from a man that got truly upset that I wanted a refund and what a fool I was not to go with this program replace your day job each time I call I get, "I will note your account" from a Lady Named Ashely She claims that these notes do go to the people that run replace your day job but she is just part of a service for this company and has no direct number to call them ya right
  • This isn't a scam per say. They way they present it is misleading. They make it sound like you will get paid hourly. All they do is provide you with wholesale products. Some are not that bad either. I have listed on ebay a few Smith and Wesson knifes. If someone purchases the product from you, it's up to you to pay the wholesale company for the product and provide them with the customers shipping address and they take care of shipping to the customer from their warehouse.

The lady above that said they demanded $6,000 is out of her mind. Just sounds like someone from another company/online business trying to shy you away. The ONLY bad thing about this that i found is there are no AMAZING products and ebay is flooded with the stuff on this site because everyone is doing it. Also i have NOT ONCE paid for training from this website. Just the initial start up fee of $75 and that is it. I have access to the warehouse and i am currently selling their junk on ebay.

What your buying is access to the warehouse. I did just the basic entry fee and sell their stuff on ebay. I didn't do anything extra. Think of the extra stuff as the finance manager when you buy a car. He wants you to spend an extra $7 a month in your payment for some BS you don't really need. Same here. Just stick with the initial fee and see the crap. You can make a few bucks on the side but i don't see this as a way to replace your day job. CJ

  • Hello everyone, before reading your testimonies I was leary of this REPLACE YOUR DAY JOB (Natalie James) site. Natalie James is just an alias name, not an actual person. Many of these bogus auction listing sites use them. I didn't give them a dime because of all of you and some of my better judgement. They give you their typical sob story about how they were just about to lose everything until stumbling onto this wonderful opportunity. At the very end if you read everything from start to finish you will notice it says the stories used are fictional. I don't like being bullshitted. If they can't give you an honest personal experience then what else will they deceive us about?

They also show you a video about this girl who now has more time to spend with her young children, but the video doesn't actually tell you what it is she's doing for a living online. I don't know how they get away with using Fox News, CNN, ABC broadcast shows to promote Ebay listers (DROP SHIPPERS). This site spends more time sugar coating everything and leaves out the hidden costs you will run into once you subscribe and hand over money that you shouldn't even have to pay if it's a legit opportunity in the first place.

If they need listers that bad then why is there a cost to us? Lets face it, if money is required assume these cliche sites are a scam because the only ones who prosper in this game is them. I hate to say it but the only way to earn a living I guess is the old fashioned way, I've yet to find something legit working from home.
  • I wonder why those crooks are not fined or punished by serving time in jail for ripping off the innocent and desperate people!
  • I went as far as the credit card entry and thought..."You'd better check it out, first!" So glad I did! Thanks to you and all the wonderful comments, I saved myself a lot of grief.
  • Wow, Thank GOD I'm nearly signed up for this scam. And I just wanted to make sure about that site first so I googled it. And I found this review and I'm so glad I didn't pay replace your day job. And I'm really sorry for all of you, and I wish all of you get your money back soon. Thanks a lot for this review page.
  • I gave them 67 and the 27 and all I want is my money back, I cant believe that ebay is even associated with these people. That's the hook that got me in. Save your money and spare yourself the grief of dealing with these crooks, I think ebay should step up and pay attention to these shysters. I will keep calling these people everyday until I recive my refund. This is no different than breaking in and stealing my stuff.
  • Holy Moly!! I'm so glad that I didn't go through with it. I was all excited to get started that I called my fiance at work and told him about it. He told me I better google it first and boy oh boy am I glad I did. I found all your reviews and didn't go through with it. I was about to enter my card info and after reading this, yea I dont think so. These folks should be fined for what they are doing other people. Thank you to all that posted about this website. Your reviews were most helpful and greatly appreciated.
  • I wish to thank all of you who sent in your reviews. I too was going to order the program but was a little leary about doing so. After reading your reviews I must say you guys made up my mind for me. Thank you all!!
