Replace Your Day Job Reviews – Legit or Scam?

Replace Your Day JobReplace Your Day Job is a new website created by Natalie James aimed specifically at people looking to enter the work from home community.  Her website promises jobs working with major, multinational companies earning anywhere between $15-$75 an hour, either full or part time.

The sales page is primarily dedicated to Natalie’s experiences being unable to pay her bills or find reasonable work in this terrible economy, until she came across this very opportunity that she wants to share with you.

Ultimately ReplaceYourDayJob.com is just a portal website that will bring you to the Auction Listing Agent opportunity.  Auction Listing is not new – there are many websites out there who are already providing this same opportunity.

The way these websites work is that you will be charged anywhere from $47-$197 to be trained as an auction listing agent, then you must become a member of a drop shipping company for an added fee.  Then you list items for sale on eBay that you never have to buy, store, or ship, because that is taken care of by the drop ship company.

So is Replace Your Day Job a Scam?

Selling items on eBay and working with a drop shipping company are completely legitimate ways of making money.  The particular problem here is not the work that’s being done, but the way that Replace Your Day Job presents this work.

Replace Your Day Job treats you as if you are actually applying for a telecommuting work at home position.  They even make you fill out an application asking for your level of education.  This is purposefully misleading.  The truth is that working as an auction listing agent is completely independent employment – you are not being hired by anyone and you should not have to fill out an application.

Then, they don’t tell you until after you are “hired” that you must pay for training and that you must pay the drop ship company for their services. Depending on what kind of service you’ll require from the company, that could cost you anywhere from $39.95 to $249.95 a month.

Going along with their presentation that you are applying for a job, they also tell you that you will earn between $15-$75 an hour.  But the way you make money with auction listing is simply by selling the products for more than they cost at the drop ship company. There is no guaranteed rate of pay.

  • I was also scammed. After they got their $67 and then another $27 I couldn't even log in one time and maybe 2 weeks later i got a phone call from one of their supervisors asking for $6,000 more. After I told him no and that I wanted my $94 dollars back, he yelled at me and said it was not his fault if I couldn't keep up with my passwords. So I got nothing! I have and you can too report them to the online business bureau.com and you can also take it on from there if you want to.
  • I too signed up for this misleading scam in October. Did the dreadful ebay course and when I was done I had no idea what to do next. I called the number and they had no clue either. I bought the additional $27 deal thinking it was something else, it is for you to create your own website. I didn't want that. I decided the heck with this nonsense and called on 11/17/10 to request my refund and she said it would take 10-12 business days. It is now 16 days and the phone number I have doesn't work, it won't even connect. I sent an e-mail to one of the gals that works there as she had sent me a link at one time but haven't heard back (of course). I called a number I found on the BBB and the guy was really nice but he had no record of me in their system. They handle a few different companies but if I dealt with Replace Your Day Job directly they wouldn't have my info. He suggested I go directly to my bank and explain the situation and the bank can take action as a charge-back. I am going to try that today, I will post later how that turned out.
  • THANK YOU ALL FOR POSTING YOUR REVIEWS! i was about to sign up for this crazy scam, the things we do when we desperately need money, and i'm so glad i read your posts before. I'm so sorry all the experiences have been so bad, and I'll be praying that you get your refunds back. god bless you all.
  • I paid $67 and then another $27 for an upgrade - my mother passed away and I was gone for a couple of weeks. When I got back and tried to get onto the member page to start my training I couldn't get on. Have been trying ever since. Can you help me?

  • Like some many of you,I was also taken for 75.00 from this company. I have three numbers and I receive the same message on all of them. They act like they are looking up your account and then say they have no record of you in the system. I guess it is because I was already deleted out of the system that I can no longer access the training page. These people are crooks who are stealing money. They should be arrested and charged just like any other thief.
  • This is definitely a scam. They promise to partner you with the big companies like Apple to be a listing agent at the end of the training.Instead, they provide you with training & at the end of it, request for more money to provide you with a list of drop shippers. I called & requested for my refund. I was promised a refund in 5 business days. It's now over 2 weeks & I have seen nothing. I have also sent an email to [email protected]. Should I hear back from them I will come back & advise all the others here.
  • I purchased this program with the hopes of making additional income other than my full-time job. After purchasing I have had many technical problems which have still not been resolved because the tech support offered is really quite unhelpful considering I have found 3 phone #'s and every single one has directed me to the same girl who has no answers to any of my questions! If that doesn't tell you this is a scam I don't know what will. This is such a rip off! DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS!
  • I am glad I decided to check this website out. I was so convinced that this would help me. I never put my card information in and what a great idea that was. It seemed way to good to be true. And it is. Don't let it happen to you or anyone you know. This website was given a "F" by the BBB. Major SCAM, so watch out and check out everything before you put your credit card or personal information in.
  • I am unemployed and have been trying everything putting in applications, doing odd jobs, whatever I can to make ends meet. Saw the ad for Replace your day job so I signed up $67 plus the upgrade $27 it's a scam!!!! I took the course, which is stressful and takes days. Then I am charged for drop ship $39.95 which I had not signed up for yet. I filled out a form to get refund but have not heard anything on this. BEWARE
  • i signed up for this program after getting email after email from them...originally they tried to charge me $67, buty i decided i didnt want to pay that much so i tried to leave the website...they then offered the program to me for $37 and thats when i signed up. For the 1st 3 days i couldnt even log onto the website, i sent them an email and they fixed it where as i could log in.

I got thru the 1st 6 lessons. Was on the 7th lesson and decided to take a break, and have not been able to log back on since then. As a matter of fact there is no place to log in anymore. I also checked my bank acct and noticed they charged me $67 instead of $37...i called and spoke to an rep and he said i would be getting an refund in 5-7 bus days...that was 3 wks ago...pls take heed and do not give these crooks anymore money
