SnagAJob.com

SnagAJob.com is a job search website that helps connect people with jobs in their area. Once you’ve reviewed the jobs available and identified ones that interest you, you can create a profile on Snag A Job and apply directly to the job from the website.

You can also post your profile to be viewed, so employers can contact you if they feel you are qualified to fill a position. In this way, SnagAJob.com claims to be similar to other job finding websites such as CareerBuilder.com or Monster.com.

Snag a Job provides a range of job types, from warehouse inventory jobs to higher level jobs that require further education or experience. SnagAJob.com also provides information on degree programs for people looking to improve their job finding chances.

So is SnagAJob.com Legit or a Scam?

First and foremost, many of the jobs available on SnagAJob.com are legitimate, and they may have helped connect members with them. But you’ll also notice that on their list of available jobs, there are many jobs offered from online opportunities like paid survey companies.

Most people that are signing up at an online job database are looking for more traditional jobs that come with a steady paycheck, as opposed to online business or supplemental income opportunities. If you receive one of these offers after signing up with SnagAJob.com, make sure to investigate the company before investing any money.

In addition, according to their Full Privacy Policy, they provide your contact information to partner companies and third party companies in order to contact you with advertisements or special offers they think you might be interested in based on your site activity.

If you do not want to be contacted by these companies, you can try to change your Snag a Job profile to more accurately reflect the types of emails you would like to receive, but you may also choose to set up a separate email account to deal with the communication you receive from them.

  • Do NOT enter any of your personal information with Snagajob! They started overloading my email account with emails for the same job opportunities multiple times per day. Then they started calling me from an "unavailable" number three to four times a day until I finally picked up and told them to stop calling me. When I tried to delete my account, there is no way to do so, you can only "snooze" your account, which means they still have all your info, and you can log back in whenever you want.
  • Honestly I filled out my information on snagajob, but only after did realized that I should have read reviews on them. When I did read reviews on them, it was pretty much all bad stuff about them. So I decided to go to my acct on snagajob and delete all my information actually more like refilling the information with a bunch of blah blah blah, and then I snoozed my acct. But I did get an email from Kohls saying that if I want an interview to call them. So I don't know if snagajob is legit or a scam but we'll see after the lady comes into her shift so I can ask if she really did get my application.
  • Absolutely dreadful. Do not Try to find work here, if you find a link to an position, just go to the employers website and apply directly though there. If you apply for a job though snag a job you WILL get an Email 2 minutes later saying tat you're not being considered. Perfect proof right there that the site is a joke. I managed to get hired right away after I had quit using their services.

Also do not listen to this Kanton guy, he's clearly a SAJ sockpuppet, I mean seriously who would keep coming back to this page every few days just to heap more praise on the website unless it was their job to do so.

Hey buddy try your viraling on 4-chan or somthing, least there we can make fun of you.
  • Wish I would of came across this website with reviews sooner. Applied for several jobs on snagajob.com and RECEIVED confirmation emails saying that I had successfully submitted them and then a couple days later recieved emails stating that I had NOT completed the applications? Immediately had a bad feeling about the site and changed/deleted all my information put my account on snooze AND requested a full delete of my profile. By the way, I never heard from any of the jobs either. This website is a joke and spams the crap out of you to boot!
  • Snag Job is a great site at first i was like im never gonna get anything bc i spent hours filling out applications and never heard anything. One day i got 2 calls from employers where i applied and i got hired at ROSS. so yeah it may seem like you are wasting your time but you will eventually hear back from some employer. It takes time!
    • Looks like this "Kanton" person is the spokesperson for "Snagajob", I applied at Coco's and Carrows, and was told by the Corporate Office and by the Area Manager, that they will not interview anyone for a restaurant position unless they put all the personal info onto the "Snagajob" website first, this site oversteps boundrys as it asks for DOB, Age, Social Security Number, this opens up for Idenity Theft, it also is considered a "Third Party" and they SELL your info, Snagajob is a Sales and Marketing Firm, in Virginia the BBB has 23 complaints on file for these issues, and any company who has integrity regarding protecting and hiring quality employees would NOT expect a person to post all this personal info onto the internet, or participate in a business practice that sells its employees information. Just my opinion, I may be wrong. Would not recommend "Snagajob" or "Catalina Corp."
  • Unsubscribed from them several times from an e-mail account I don't use much. Checked recently and they still keep sending alerts. You have to contact them to delete the account which I did but have not heard back yet. Not worth the trouble.
  • When you use snagajob you will be contacted by tons of calls asking about schools. I know, sadly I was desperate for work and had that terrible job. That is the reason it asks you for your DOB. Even when you put hyhyhyhse as your name you will still get calls. And you will continue to get calls for schools until you tell them one of these two things- You are in school and not planning on transferring and two your not interested. Dont ignore the phone calls because they will keep coming until you say one of those. Just a heads up
    • You are so right! I've been having that problem too since I've moved out here in Riverside County. I am looking for work as a Mail Room Clerk, and at Mc Donald's Resturant that is closed in the community of Riverside within the city of Perris, and Morneo Valley. And yes! I have been been getting calls everyday for 3 years about schools that I can't afford. You should check out Indeed, and Simply Hired website

it's the same thing too. I believe that Snag a Job with Indeed and Simply Hired are scamming people.
  • I read the negative blogs after submitting several applications for about a month on Snag a Job. I thought what waste of time and deleted Snag a job from e mail. BUT,to my surprise, a few weeks later had a phone call from an Employer that I had submitted application to and GOT HIRED with this desirable company. No complaints here. The trick is to customize each application/resume to fit the individual job you are applying for. A generic resume doesn't do it. Sell yourself in the "if have anything to add" section. If you narrow your area of type job seeking, you are limiting your opportunities. I got a job less than 10 minutes from my home. Realize there are a LOT OF PEOPLE looking for a job. Make your resume/application stand out. Good Luck and happy job hunting.
    • You do not have the opportunity to upload your resume on Snagajob like you do with other job search sites. There is no way to customize anything.
  • I have applied to MULTIPLE jobs on this website and have nothing come of it. No interviews, nothing, and I have a good resume. I spent over an hour applying to a place last night only to receive an automated rejection letter saying they weren't hiring. Some of these job postings have been on snagajob for months. Go directly to the company's website to apply. This place is a joke!
    • it takes time! i thought it was a scam and wasnt sure where my info was going but i got hired from a employer on there. Ross is where i work and i love it. it just takes some time
  • Warning: Do not apply for a job with any company that uses snag-a-job!
    • just bc you don't have what it takes to get a job does not mean the site is bad. i got hired off the site
