DreamTrips Life is a new membership based travel club which promises that they can make it possible for anyone, who lives on any budget, to experience more and take world class vacations.

According to their video presentation available at VacationSooner.com, DreamTrips realized that people want to take amazing vacations and have “bucket list” experiences, but feel they can’t because of money issues.

So DreamTrips created a vacation club which could offer 5 star experiences to their members at 2 or 3 star prices. All you have to do is pay a one time activation fee of $200.00 and a monthly fee of $55.00.

How the Club Works

Using the same bulk buying strategies of companies like CostCo and Sam’s Club, DreamTrips buys tickets, books hotel rooms, and arranges experiences in large numbers so they can get discounted prices which they pass on to their customers, so they can then “Vacation Sooner.”

In addition, all the fees you pay to them are accumulated throughout your membership and then turned into Reward Points which can then be applied to Reward Trips. Every year on the anniversary of your sign up, you will receive 660 points. 1 point is equal to 1 dollar, and when these points are attributed to a trip, it will be discounted by that amount.

They also have an Online Mall, which features over 900 stores, including major retailers like Target, Walmart, Best Buy, and more. Each time you make a purchase at one of these stores through their Online Mall, a portion of the purchase cost will be added into a Vacation Bank for you and can be attributed to vacations you book at later times.

The Business Opportunity: Getting Started

Customers who choose can not only be Vacation Sooner members, but also representatives who can earn money by selling WorldVentures memberships to new members. All you need to do is pay a one time $99 activation fee and a monthly fee of $11.

Once you refer four active members – who maintain their membership – your monthly membership dues will be waived for as long as those members remain active.

After that, the earning matrix is dependent on how many members you sign up within certain periods of time. The video presentation does not mention monetary compensation; most of the compensation referenced is that of bonuses and sweepstakes entries.

If you are interested in becoming a vacation club member or a representative, or are looking for details about what recourse you have should you have complaints or issues with their trips or memberships, you’ll need to refer to their website or find an active representative in your area to get specifics.

Travel Club Controversy

Travel clubs do not have the best reputations, historically speaking, because of past trends with clubs taking members’ dues and then not honoring travel arrangements due to blackout dates and other limitations.

New travel clubs are trying to change these perceptions and create new understandings of their opportunities, though you will have to reach out to existing members to find proof of whether or not these new companies are worthwhile. Current members who are familiar with this organization are invited to please leave their reviews below.

  • There are a couple of things I have noticed, reading these comments:

    1. No one involved in this organization is specific. They never say, "I'm taking a Trafalgar Tour to the Canary Islands for 9 days for $300 per person." They only say I'm going on vacation in three weeks for pennies. This same phrase is repeated over and over.

    2. The answers appear to be written by very young (and often aggressive) people, or older people who seem financially desperate. Again, no specifics are given, only that they now own BMW's any fly all over the world.

Why not take the $1,000 you pay in the first year and put it towards a nice holiday?
    • dream trips is just that its a dream! lol another pyramid scam wrapped in a different box. This to shall Pass
    • Actually Kim you pay $860 in the first year. $200 of which you can't use with the other $660. I'd rather save $1000 on my own and take my own trip. Plus why can't you use all of your points on one trip??? You can only use set amounts and still have to use MORE money. Sounds like a waste of money.
    • and don't forget, once you have 4 active people you no longer pay the monthly fee and you still get that 55 in your account monthly
    • As a member of World Ventures, and a paralegal by trade, we aren't allowed to share the exact pricing, but that's not to say that we can't give a ball-park figure for a trip we plan on going on, and sharing that information. Also, I assure you I'm not financially desperate by any means, but chose to have another stream of income. What's wrong with that? I've been on several amazing 'dreamtrips' and will never travel any other way again, thanks to this awesome company! As far as the putting the '$1,000.00 you pay in the first year and putting it toward a nice holiday'.. you actually accrue $660.00 in a year, and are able to put every single penny of that toward a 'holiday' or few, because it rolls over every year. :)
  • my husband and i are members of WV, i can say it is not a scam. We decide to make a living, living... we were born poor, it wasn't our mistake, but if we die poor it is ours.. so we decide to everyday do something that will inch us closer to a better tomorrow.... so that is why we are trying to offer our friends and family the opportunity to better tomorrow along with us, but if they have excuses its their choice to fail, because one of the best ways to make changes in your life is to change your environment, this then change you. I love them but i would not waste time with them.
  • To be honest, no skeptic will truly know if it's real or scam. All I know is that I barely afford to pay my bills and rent so I couldn't afford to give away money to hopefully break even at least.
  • I guess if those of us that are a little more savvy to BS jumped into this money hole we would be trying to sell the crap out of it too, last one tagged pays the fees, for life, hahahaa, lol, sell, sell, sell, sell. Good luck!
  • I am really considering doing this for extra income. Can anyone with prior exp. good or bad give me some feedback ?
    • How many times does the FederalTrade Commission, the BBB and other entities that provides wisdom to all who will listen have warned Americans countless times "If it sounds too good to be true, IT IS"...... If anyone watches "American Greed", you will learn how these types of schemes entices people thru their own desires. It will look, feel and seem legit but at the end it will come back to bite you.
    • I've been a member for 2 1/2 years now, have the BMW and residual income. It's not a get-rich-quick scheme, bc those, in fact, ARE illegal and are usually pyramids. This is legit. My brother ( an atty) & his wife just joined too. The membership fee is the price of an iPhone.. I've spent that on nights I can't remember!
    • my husband and i are part of it it is not a scam like some people think. what we are earning in our everyday life is not much but we decide to do this because "what we are doing today is not getting us closer to where we want to be tomorrow".
    • It's very rewarding and I love it. Get to travel for close to nothing while earning a living. What more could you ask for?
    • My wife & I became just a month ago. Three weeks in and 5 of my friends signed up. We have already taken 1 trip and we are planning another one real soon. And to answer your question YES you can earn extra income. A LOT EXTRA!!!
  • to me this is a scam period.
    • yes its a scam.

look at what everyone does for a living and think of the amount you make. of course a lawyer can afford it, the family of the lawyer can afford it. kim, linda. if someone says that someone cant pay bills then why would you think this is for them? money is what Is paying their rent, food, etc... what money does this person have to pay ANY of it.

my kids' dad and I were talked to by a "worker" named nancy. today he went to a meeting. he of course is thinking of joining. me- never will I spend $ when my kids need shoes, clothes and food. ask me when was the last time their dad paid for any clothes and shoes? vacation sooner Is a scam to people who CANT afford it. if it was $5 then yes. because it's not then nope. and nancy's selling story wasn't a story. her husband and herself has good paying jobs. of course they can do it. one of their " members" named Elizabeth will go to her sisters for her financial help to pay this company because Elizabeth cant afford it. she thinks she can but she cant. Elizabeth has a job but its not a good paying one. my kids' dad has my family paying his bills. he took out a 401k to get Christmas presents and internet. taking out money to pay that money is just dumb so he can spend more money on this company while his kids don't have shoes, clothes. get real scammers.
    • I have thought about doing this. The start up cash is cheap but you put fourth the effort and you get the pay out. Everyone needs a vacation and spending $50 a month to accrue points as well as refer friends to vacations and have them join is a great idea. A buddy of mine has done this and is going on a trip next year. Their seats cost w/ out WV is 3,000 and w/ it is 1,100 per person. Why not help those take vacations?
    • Sophia.. I'd like to know how/why you think this is a scam... I mean, where's your proof of that? There's plenty of testimonies from members right here on this page that dispute your view. Don't pre-judge something till you have the facts. :)
    • I really agree with you SO Frustrated.. Sophia you said its a scam. now ask yourself if what you are doing today is getting you closer to where you want to be tomorrow.... every excuse is a choice to fail and yours is to say its a scam..
    • You sound really uneducated. Why is this a scam? Cause you're comfortable working your 40hr+ a week job for 40+yrs.
  • Hello,

A friend of mine contacted me about joining. I was told I would pay $360 plus $55 per month. After I sign-up 4 people I no longer pay a monthly fee. My questions are how much do you get paid to sign-up each person? If you continue to sign-up more do you get the same pay for each or does it increace? Also, is there an option to apt out if this dosent work out and would i get my money back? He was not able to answer these questions.

I did a bit of research on my own it does seems legit but I want to be clear on this before i decide to invest my hard earn money into something that I will regret.
    • One question still has not been answered. Can you opt out if you are unable to keep paying for it?
    • To be a Rep, it's 360, with a 65/mo fee, until you get 4 people, then it's waived for forever. To be a traveler (the product) it's 199, again with a 55/mo fee until you get 4 people, then being waived. Regardless of whether or not you get 4 within any period of time, 55 points of the monthly goes into a piggy bank & after a yr (on your anniversary date), you get to use those 660 points toward trips. Also 200 of the initial membership fee goes immediately toward a trip! It's a win-win! #tywv
    • No one has answered your question: how much do you get paid for each person who joins? (crickets)
    • Why $360? The video says $199
    • Totally legit, been in for 3 years, love it! So much success all around me.
  • How do you get out of it if at any point you want to stop paying the monthly fee and stop being a member?? It says it's a lifetime membership...so it's going to take $55 from me every month for the rest of my life?! that's terrifying.
    • You simply call the company & resign.. there are no contracts!
    • Uncertain: I noticed that no one answered your question about how exactly to get out of it and stop what are probably automatic withdrawals/charges to you?
    • UNCERTAIN: I am a member since 1/2013. There is nothing to stop you from getting out if you so choose... That being said,Once you get 4 people to sign up under you and they stay active (or any 4 that stays active not necessarily the first four) then your monthly fees are waived!! you never pay as long as you have the four under you!! It took me two weeks to get my four and pay NO MORE! its a fabulous club!!
  • wow its amazing how much ppl tlk about things they know nothing about. guys its legit, i joined a month ago things are going great. when i was introduced to world ventures, being a jamaican i thought hell no!! yall can't get my money that easy, but here i am a member and loving it. dont listen to what people say, do your own research because most of these people who got so much to say dont even know what a pyramid scheme is.
  • I am married with 5 children will we all be able to go on vacation or just my husband and I? Is the price the same or a lot more for a family my size? If the vacations are just for my husband and I it is pointless because we have 2 under 5 years old.
    • You membership is good for you +one, and your children under the age of 18. Each trip is different, but many of them offer the trip free for a certain age and under, and a discounted price for kids over that age-18. Hope this helps! I would definitely suggest talking to the rep in your area, or myself, if you would like more info =)
