DreamTrips Life is a new membership based travel club which promises that they can make it possible for anyone, who lives on any budget, to experience more and take world class vacations.

According to their video presentation available at VacationSooner.com, DreamTrips realized that people want to take amazing vacations and have “bucket list” experiences, but feel they can’t because of money issues.

So DreamTrips created a vacation club which could offer 5 star experiences to their members at 2 or 3 star prices. All you have to do is pay a one time activation fee of $200.00 and a monthly fee of $55.00.

How the Club Works

Using the same bulk buying strategies of companies like CostCo and Sam’s Club, DreamTrips buys tickets, books hotel rooms, and arranges experiences in large numbers so they can get discounted prices which they pass on to their customers, so they can then “Vacation Sooner.”

In addition, all the fees you pay to them are accumulated throughout your membership and then turned into Reward Points which can then be applied to Reward Trips. Every year on the anniversary of your sign up, you will receive 660 points. 1 point is equal to 1 dollar, and when these points are attributed to a trip, it will be discounted by that amount.

They also have an Online Mall, which features over 900 stores, including major retailers like Target, Walmart, Best Buy, and more. Each time you make a purchase at one of these stores through their Online Mall, a portion of the purchase cost will be added into a Vacation Bank for you and can be attributed to vacations you book at later times.

The Business Opportunity: Getting Started

Customers who choose can not only be Vacation Sooner members, but also representatives who can earn money by selling WorldVentures memberships to new members. All you need to do is pay a one time $99 activation fee and a monthly fee of $11.

Once you refer four active members – who maintain their membership – your monthly membership dues will be waived for as long as those members remain active.

After that, the earning matrix is dependent on how many members you sign up within certain periods of time. The video presentation does not mention monetary compensation; most of the compensation referenced is that of bonuses and sweepstakes entries.

If you are interested in becoming a vacation club member or a representative, or are looking for details about what recourse you have should you have complaints or issues with their trips or memberships, you’ll need to refer to their website or find an active representative in your area to get specifics.

Travel Club Controversy

Travel clubs do not have the best reputations, historically speaking, because of past trends with clubs taking members’ dues and then not honoring travel arrangements due to blackout dates and other limitations.

New travel clubs are trying to change these perceptions and create new understandings of their opportunities, though you will have to reach out to existing members to find proof of whether or not these new companies are worthwhile. Current members who are familiar with this organization are invited to please leave their reviews below.

  • I just read every single review and reply and I really want to know how much you get paid per sign up after your 4 initial, that you need to secure your dues. I am apart of legal shield and Amway and I make great residual income from both. id just like to get some concrete information about this company!! please help
  • So, let’s look at this from a business perspective. This "product" that a person in question is buying gives you a discount on your vacation. That's great, but you still have to pay for the vacation because the points don't cover it all. So let’s say I can do 2 trips a year, I am spending $800 for the membership in the first year. However I can only spend 400 ($400) points on each trip. Now I am a single man so no big deal. Flight is $1,300 for each trip, hotel is $400 (if you take away the 400 points) on each trip, that does not cover food or any added things. Now here is where your membership fails on me, and before you jump the gun, I am a president of a casino so I know how to run a business. So all this is, and I use this term for the lack of a better one, a vacation back. I would give you the money and you hold it till I want to use some of it. Now I know "sign people up" I don't have time for that. Now anyone who is smart would invest the money for 6 to 8 months gain interest on it and then you can go on vacation. If your product work like that maybe. So this is a conventional scam, but it does lack true gain, and sadly the people who would need this the most are the same people who can’t afford it. Sorry to say till this product can gain interest with no labor, like a CD or a 401k then you will not get my money nor will you get anyone I know.
    • For a businessman you aren't a Very intelligent one.

Do your homework, then you'll actually have a clue
    • Virginia/ Allen, what's with the personal attacks against someone giving their opinion on this?
    • If you took the time to really understand it, the dreamtrip product where the points would be used are not hotel or plane bookings. They are packaged experiences and the vast majority of them include extras such as excursions that most can not afford to do on a vacation they book as is usually done. I have busted my tail picking up so many extra shifts to take my family on vacations that can not touch the experiences being offered by Worldventures Dreamtrip products. All of us are not rich like you. If they want to help me save my $50/month so that I have 600 points at the end of the year so that I can take my family on a vacation that may be presented to me at a price of $2000, I'm gonna do it. Because guess what? You take that same trip with those same perks and you will pay $5000 for the exact same thing. So maybe since you are so rich and can afford to throw away $3000, this is not for you. But do not put down a concept that is making it a possibility for my children to see the world outside of cruise ship destinations without me having to bust my tail to pay for it. And a little FYI, my points (as is the case for hundreds of thousands of regular folks) cost me nothing!! Do your research a little better next time business man!! You have a nerve talking about other business when you are clearly in the business of taking hard working folk's money every second of the day!
    • President of a casino. Really?! The biggest pyramid scheme of all! Feeding off people's addictions. You barely pay your employees minimum wage while you get paid handsomely! I would have been ashamed to share that. I bet you're not brave enough to share the casino you work at your current salary.
  • A very long review, but incredibly important to read. Here is how a pyramid scheme works:

    (1) People involved must pay a fee to be a part of the "company". Usually some sort of product is promised them (goods, vacations, an unrealistic capitol return), but some pyramid schemes don't even promise goods.

    (2) You make money back by getting a certain number of people to join. Always more than one person; that is how it is a pyramid scheme and not a tower scheme. The more people you are required to refer, the more successful the scheme, as people paying will increase at an exponential rate relative to the necessary referrals.

    (3) The company will do everything it can to seem legit as long as possible. The most common type of scheme is the "unrealistic return of capitol" scheme. A rep will vaguely tell you that they have an amazing business model that will triple your money invested in no time at all, and better yet, you can make your money back before than if you can refer 5 new people. Of course, some people will become suspicious after investing and demand a refund. If they don't get it back, a shock will be created and the pyramid will collapse in a panic, so refunds are ALWAYS given and those people are encouraged to tell others in the company that their money was safely returned. Sometimes, the company will even return some of the money (10%) and claim that it is their first return on investment. This motivates people to further spread the word.

    (4) The bubble bursts. Oftentimes, nothing illegal occurs until this moment. The business owner has a goal in mind: a specific number of people before the company is no longer worth sustaining. Remember that in a pyramid scheme, profits are exponential, so the owner has made much much much much more than anyone else in the company, plus all of the money intended to be spent on the "investment" (or future vacations) is in his pockets. At this time, the owner vanishes completely with all the money. If it was a 4-to-1 referral system, roughly 3/4 of the investors will not break even by the time this happens. THIS is the illegal part: fraud.

Observe that DreamTrips has already gone through the first three points. They have undoubtedly sent their members on a few vacations while still maintaining profits for the owner; this is to his advantage, as it legitimizes the company and boosts morale amongst the sales people. But keep in mind, the ultimate goal is NOT to provide fabulous vacations for as many people as possible. It is to make the owner millions of dollars in a very short time frame. Good luck, prospective investors.
    • And that is where you are wrong. This is a scheme and many companies lie and cheat to their customers and are still in the stock market, it doesn't make a difference.
    • This is a pyramid, just like every job in the world....but a scheme? No. Is Mary Kay a scheme? Avon? pampered Chef? Amway?

Pyramid schemes get shut down, then people go to jail. They aren't allowed to participate in the NY Stock Exchange ....lol.

Educate yourself. Don't steal people's dreams by posting wrong information.
  • OK so i was just shown this and i was about to join a payed some of it and i'm thinking of paying the rest but... Read the pros and cons and the rants and likes about this. I'm so confused, i mean yes scams are true they do exist and things that sound to good to be true normally are. I get it if you are not thinking of how your money is gained and just jump in, you could be being screwed and not know it. I mean i own a small business i know a when things are being sold. Things are always talked about highly and if you put enough time into anything rewards/payouts can be nice. But like all things Sales are not always better, Black Friday is coming up. All that is used for is for people to buy and spend not save. So sure if you where to buy two TVs for $500 each and black Friday comes along and they go to $250 its a deal... right? WELL!! kinda. Its a way to pull you in. Now that you saved that extra $500 you will maybe(highly likely) spend it somewhere else.

Anther example of selling Technics A sweet shirt is priced at $80 and a sale goes on and drops it to $45!! that's great so you grab two so you can have two of them for a cheaper price. Now sure if you where going to get two and you showed up with $160 and it was $45 you saved. But really its a trick to get you to spend just a little more. $10 more really, now $10 its not a lot but so many people go for it. SO you have 300 people buy two for the lower price. Well you just made a $3000 profit.

This could be and is i'm sure is anther one of those kinda of selling Technics.

Now here is where it gets confusing... Those who claim to be like Federal agent's and say its a scam. Well I see there views as a caution, if this was against the law why can it still go on. Now i know this world is not ran on morals its by money so yes those big money making member's could hold off any law suit forever. But i mean one comment and then nothing??? really? If its bad do more comment on this plz. Show me reasons not just facts.

Oh and yes those who say the money is just shared well you need to wake up a little more. Its not, i mean sure they move some numbers around and make it look that way but their is a higher agenda somewhere. Always is all Jobs work in the same way. One person starts something and gets the benefits from all. Somewhere some how someone is paying. Those who don't get into it and quite payed your check. Those few people you brought in and paid the joining fee paid your check. Why do you think its points not money given back. That money is given to someone else just like a bank. Banks don't really have the same amount of physically cash as they do money on accounts. It was considered a scam too.

Now if this is truly a good deal and works, great! but i don't want anyone to have to end up paying me just because they can't find enough people. On top of that i don't want to be one of those guys either. Now i have so many wishes to go see the world. But currently don't have the means. So this a a tempting offer the extra cash would be so nice. I could get my business running even more, i could start building my PC's and selling those. So much it would speed up with this. I'm torn left and right on this.

I mean I've done the number crunch very quickly so don't hold me dead on for this. But if you did this right you could get a big enough group together and then have the group just stop growing and then throw the monthly all into one payment and then all pitch in for trips and stuff. You could cut all lose by the last people on the list. And really keep the sales on the trips. And have no one getting the short end of the stick.

I don't know i have done some good amount of thinking on this it would be very easy to put this out and get enough people not knowing what they are really doing and getting paid for it so no real questions are asked. And they don't even know who but somewhere maybe 100 years from when they start suddenly lands and really hurts someone. I mean either this is a handy way to earn money or its a way to fk people over and not even realize it until its either to late. And that 50/50 chance of this could be really hurting someone else for my enjoyment that's holding me at a stand by.
  • While NOT ILLEGAL, World Ventures does work off the old "Pyramid Scheme" setup. You PAY CASH to recruit people, and make it back from the cash of your recruits. Logically, someone has to lose money for you to get paid...
    • Again, not a pyramid scheme, just a pyramid concept! Think of your job, top of that pyramid is CEO, then co CEO,

then managers, coordinators, team leaders, associates, EVERY business in the history of businesses is a pyramid!!
    • A "Pyramid Scheme" is when people sign up by paying a fee and recruit other people who also pay a fee. The recruits also recruit new members and so on and so forth. There's only money being exchanged; there's NO service or product sold; THAT'S ILLEGAL.

The reason these 'Network Marketing' companies look like a Pyramid is because you can recruit new members and you also make money off of your recruits' efforts, and their recruits' efforts. Basically, your everyday Sales Team. With the difference that in a sales team you CANNOT hire your team. So this model works better for the sales person.

And with this company, Representatives don't have to hire new representatives to make money. All they have to do is sell the travel club and they make a commission off of that sale.
  • Change the way you think!
  • Hi there I'm travis ockey I just joined as a member I don't know where to way in I'm not sure if its a scam or not I just joined today as of 2:30 there's alot of good testimonials and a few that claim its a scam I'm not sure what I should believe the video and every thing about it looks promising but I need help to decide I'm not even sure how to get people to join I'd love to get the residual income and BMW with lifestyle bonus
    • Id love a pet dinosaur.. You arent going to make a living working with companies like this. go out and get a real job.
    • Glad you join, but the best way to be able to learn is by following the formula that the people successful in the company have done it. Follow the formula and it just talk like a regular person, don't go for the sales pitch from the get go, use your product and the product will work for you.
  • While at a first glance I would also say that this is a pyramid scheme, I am interested in hearing why these ppl defend vacation sooner to such a high extent. I currently reside in Canada and I am intrigued to learn more about this concept. I am curious to know how this works.
    • Hi NF, what is your definition exactly of a pyramid scheme?

By definition "A pyramid scheme is an unsustainable business model that involves promising participants payment or services, primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, rather than supplying any real investment or sale of products or services to the public."

In WorldVentures we get paid a once off direct commission for referring a person who joins the Dreamtrips travel club, not for recruiting. Our product is Dreamtrips and our service is Rovia. Rovia was the winner of the Worlds Best Travel Search Engine in 2012, and just this year alone Dreamtrips won the Worlds Leading Travel Club in North America, Africa, Asia and Europe at the World Travel Awards. We are currently operating in 28 countries and our co-founders we nominated at finalists in 2010 Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the year award. I highly doubt that Ernst & Young, the 3rd largest auditing firm in the world would back WV if WV was a pyramid scheme.

I would be happy to discuss things further with you if you like.
  • funny how not one person has mentioned where they went or where they are going....they simply say "on a vacation"....Hmmmmmm. Also no clear answers about how you make money or how much and how soon. One last thing...after a year you get $660 in pts. the last time I looked it cost about 5X that to take my GF and our daughter on a vacation, so I will be doing this for 5yrs before I can take my first vacation?.....No thank you. BTW I am only looking into this because an aquaintence looked me up after years of not talking to him and out of the blue started to try to sell me on this. Not sure what I think yet!!!!
    • My friend went to Cancun and spent 1/5 the price for the trip than listed elsewhere. Get the facts from those that have done it not from doubters that haven't.
    • We joined tonight and I'm really excited! Everybody at the meeting talked about their vacations in detail. I didn't see anything funny about it.
  • The money you put in does not go to the company it goes to the company and right back to you once you sign up so that u can take a vacation. Tf is wrong with some of you. Therefore Sam's is a scheme too hun because you pay them to use their products their merchandise in bulk instead of retail. Sams does not give you your money back when you sign up to go shopping! Point blank. -Wv rep and PLATINUM MEMBER as of 10/21/14
    • Yes, but Sams is once a year under $50. These folks are taking way way more plus the credit card gets billed every month forever, not once a year. Plus, I would want to see what vacations are out there before I buy and that does not seem to be possible. Sounds like a scam to me or a timeshare i do not want.

Why is it that Priceline or others like it do not do this? The business model of vacationsooner would not be tolerated with a publicly traded company like Priceline that is why!!
    • Amen, Ace!! Good point on SAM'S! No company gives you your money back, that I know of!
